Comments by "vk2ig" (@vk2ig) on "Catch A Tiger! Snatching Hitler's Secret Tank" video.
Imagine putting loudspeakers and voice-modulated lights on 131 and driving around Bovington saying "Exterminate!"

Some commentators are saying it's a '34.

Good question. Previously in comments on other Dr. Felton videos, people have suggested that if the war in Europe dragged into late 1945 or 1946 then an atomic bomb or two may have been used. But others suggest that this wouldn't have happened because: a) the Western Allies may have let the war stalemate in the West so as to let it drag on in the East at the USSR's expense, and b) when the German senior military officers saw Japan "go dark" they would've realised the inevitable was about to happen, and accordingly done something about the leadership.

@jimtaylor294 I was about to make a similar comment. Perfect opportunity to make a realistic war movie featuring tanks but someone decided to "Pearl Harbor-ize" it ...
2
Sadly, a film of the same ilk as "Pearl Harbor".

Dennis Moore, Dennis Moore, riding through the land ...

What does it matter? A number of you people have made this comment. Maybe you need Vladimir to move in next door and give you something to really worry about?
1
Who released first, though?
1
History science? What is that, and who teaches it? And what is it that the West missed?
1
What channels are those videos on?
1
Isn't that a deep hole where you throw short, thick nails?
1
Hmmmm ... V2 rockets and scientists ...
1
@andypozuelos1204 And Dr. Felton said those jerrycans were only allowed there during transportation, and not in combat.
1
Where did you read that? Another commentator said similar, but didn't post any source(s).
1
You'd never want the history class to finish, that's for sure!
1
Definitely not an area weapon then, as most artillery is designed to be.
1
@wayneantoniazzi2706 True, but in some cases the weapons system goes the way of the battleship.
1
Casings fall out the bottom of the weapon? There must be some reason - maybe it is the lying prone thing - otherwise they wouldn't have done it. The post-WW2 Australian infantry F1 sub-machinegun had the mag on top too. 32 round curved mag but only ever load it to 30 unless you want it to jam; and never, ever whack the end of the mag after attaching it to the weapon.
1
It's quite possible that 131's commander may have reassured his boss that he and his crew destroyed the tank. So there would be nothing unusual in the German records.
1
Where did you hear / read that?
1
@TheZod00 Tabasco, thanks.
1
While 131 wasn't a mock-up, the storyline certainly was a very unrealistic mock-up.
1
@wayneantoniazzi2706 Yep, it's just movie. Another classic (among many) was towards the end - the German stick grenade / potato masher with a fuse of about 1-½ minutes ...
1
That's Hollywood for you. 😁
1
Ah yes, the generation who watched episodes of Dr. Who from behind the sofa ... 😂
1
He should be in all schools across the USA, but it will be a cold day in Hell before that happens.
1
Sadly, it was "Pearl Harbor-ized".
1
I share your goal. Unfortunately during my previous times in the UK, I have been too busy, or too far away, or had spare time at the wrong time of the year (many of these places close over the winter months) to visit. But I did get to see plenty of other historical sites, especially Roman ruins.

Please tell us more.

It Happened Here
1
Are we watching the same video? This video certainly seems to be about Tiger 131.
1
Sounds like a great start to a conspiracy theory!
1
That's how they could've captured a Tiger much earlier - send in the Ukrainian farmers!
1
But that's like thinking "What happens if the sun doesn't rise in the East tomorrow morning?" 😂
1
@michaelevans205 The Way Ahead ...
1
While the USSR finished him from the East. They would've been the real winners of The Great Patriotic War.
