  2. Was that Iwo Jima after most of the marines and their weapons had been loaded back onto the ships and taken away? The Americans thought all the Japanese were dead, but quite a few were still hiding in caves and tunnels, and came out after dark to attack the relatively lightly armed Americans.

  3. In 1982 (and now), the "commandos" were the Royal Marines (the Royal Navy's amphibious light infantry), while SAS and SBS were Special Forces. There's a difference.

  4. The Battle Of The Pips is quite an intriguing naval engagement that occurred off the Aleutians. I would love to see a video on that ... by necessity it would be only a few minutes long, though. 😁
