I don't blame the mangers and boss. 35+ with family. These boss knows, they will demand higher wages. Why would boss hire someone when he/she can find someone able to do the same job at much lower cost (fresh grads, single, obedient, etc)
From the company POV, too many baggage.
Single and less than 30, cost is cheaper, few baggages.
This is what happens when boss knows, there is a HUGE unemployment people, so boss can take advantage of this.
Vice versa, when company needs workers, and can't find them, they will increase base salary to attract workers.
FOr example, during and after the lifiting of COVID, many schools have difficulites finding teachers. So schools have no choice, but to cut into the profit/budget and up the base salary. For example, before was 25k rmb/month, then up 30, and if still no takers, up again to 35 or 40 or 45. I have seem it.
Now that some foreigners are returning, the teacher's salary when back to pre covid.
This is the nature of things in the business world.
I don't see workers complaining, wow, the salary is so high? Higher than market price.
We complain when we dont get our way.
This is the reality, lm shopping too, looking for the best foods at the cheaper price. AM l WRONG. HELL No! My company, l can do what needs to be done!

That is true. Any young worker complain, the manager can say, l can fire you now and replace you in the afternoon.
I once interivew a 35 old women for a job, not skill intensive, simple task, etc. When I ask her, what was her expected salary, she said 6k+
When interview another candidate, single, new, fresh out of college, ask the same question, she said, whatever. I just need job to pay rent, food, transportation etc. I said, is 3.5k ok.
She accepted and was hired on the spot.
That same day, afternoon, the lady of 35 called about the job. I told her, it has been fullfiled.
She was upset and try to argue with me, that she was the perfect candidate for the job, with yrs of experience and etc. I told her, l hired someone which only cost 3.5k. I said, you wanted 6k. As a business man, lm looking for cheap labor. Can you accept 3k, if l fired that other women.
Silent and hang up.
After 6 month, gave that fresh grad a 200 (about 28 USD ) raise for perfect attendance, never late, good attitude, etc. SHe was so happy when l told her! Her Big smile told me, I MADE the right decision.
