There is NO respect when the women's family demand dowry.
They say, it is culture, it is not easy to raise our daughter, your daughter becomes YOUR family. IT IS ALL BS.
If that is true, she becomes my family, that means, she is my and my family's property and SHE MUST obey.
SO, if she wants to see her parents during CNY, me/family, being the owner for that property can say, NO.
We brought you, so you obey. Is that how the daughter's family wants the groom's family to treat only daughter, as a piece of property by the man's family?

The tax dollar goes to fund those military programs. When do they care about the people. The "Common prosperity" really means for those higher ups, not for the common people. Their bellies are fully, their family's bellies are full and the local people are starving, high in debt, tofu buildings, or uncomplete buildings, no jobs for graduates.
And they wonder why the population is decreasing; no marriage, no children.
They haven;t lived the life of the common folks, so they don't know jack. These problems, the officials will never have to worry about. Their children have everything, they have everything. It is all about they having it all. Screw the people. The officials step on the common people. The common people are the slaves, while they are the kings.

It seems like, those Chinese women that demand a dowry have insecurities and need a man's money as security. It is like holding a man's hard earn money as hostage. Whether the woman or man leave in the marriage, she won because the dowry is in her hands.
Furthermore, she can demand 1/2 of everything he owns
So, then, what security does the man have?
He can demand dowry, he might be able to demand a prenup, but that is rare in China.
So base on those factor, there are more risk for a man to get married. He has MORE to lose.
And if they have children and she decides to divorce him, she will have the dowry AND the chidren most of the time AND demand child support.
The trade off for a man to marry these mature woman is NOT in the mans' interest. He has too much to lose and she has a LOT to win.
ANd if the man initate the divorce, he can't get the dowry back. If the woman initate the divorce, she can simple say, it was the gift for the marriage. So, what benefit is there for the man to marry these luxury/mature woman.

THese parents are complaining, they have no saving and dont have good jobs, yet this women is complaining her kid's tuition is too high. 12k/month is private/international or bilingual KG.
Im an Expat, when my kid went to local KG, we pay 1.7k while locals pay 300rmb.
SO, if she and her partner lost their job, they should pull their kids out of these expensive KG and put them into local KG, which cost a few hundred rmb.
It seems like, she has no common sense. If one can't afford private school, pull the child out. SHe can save 10k a month for the eldest child.
It is called adapting to one's economic situation. If the situation is bad, tighten the family belt, spending less.
It seems she doesn't want to cut the child's high cost of school. private school is a want, NOT a need.
Her story gets worst, took out a 30 yr mortgage. Clearly she is uneducated in basic finances.
Trying to follow the trend, what my friend has, l must have. Stupid.
ANd a mortgage on a car. I don't even have a car and live in 1st tier, yet my monthly salary is like 5x of an avg salary of a local SH.

I still don't understand why these graduates are complaining. They have a job, and it is probability their first job ever. We westerns, starting work at 16, slowly gaining experience from flipping burgers at 16 to becoming a teacher. So their first job, is like flipping burgers, with a useless degree. They should be happy. They should work at family mart or some convenience store when summer came. But of course, they were using that time, memorizing useless Chinese poems and taking other useless classes. The best experience is working experience. Get out there, and experience the real world. Sweep the floor for 5RMB per hour. This will open their eyes that life is all forms, shape and sizes. Only then, can they truely experience all levels of life from street cleaners to the big big.

For many jobs, many do not require a degree. FOr me, l only need the degree in CHIna to get a working visa.
Foreigners in CHina will also be more valuable that local citizens. This is a fact! FOr example a fresh grad teaching in China, for a 1st tier city, can easily make 15-25k+ WHile a fresh grad of a Chinese adult, if lucky, 8k. It is not wonder, why some fresh grads don't like us foreigners. They think, they work just as hard as we do, maybe more. In the end, we make MORE than them in EVERYWAY.
Some even say, we are stealing their job.
I say, yup, I am.
Or they say, go back to your foreign land, we don't want you
I say, apparently the company I work for, needs me.
Any jeolous fresh grad say shit about us foreigners, l rub my contact in front of their face, showing them my 6 fig USD salary (converted from RMB)
