  1. 12 miles is not that bad. We did numerous marches during basic training and AIT, I remember one in particular that was 13 miles through sandy ground. To most people this will look like determination and heart, but only because she’s a woman. Anyone who served in the Army or Marines will see this and agree that 12 miles isn’t out of the norm, and what you’re seeing in this video is failure to meet the standard, and someone you don’t want walking with you in the mountains of Afghanistan.
