@aaronkristo858 Yup. I have read both of Tom DiLorenzo’s books about Lincoln. Lincolns unconstitutional / tyrannical actions transformed the minarchist central gov into a leviathan and became the model for future tyrant presidents. DiLorenzo has written many books but said in an interview that his books about Lincoln were the only ones that he was attacked over.

@MrJamberee Wrong. The US Federal Gov then derived its income from tariffs. The vast majority of its revenue then was the tariffs it collected from the south. Lincoln stated publicly numerous times that he didn’t care about ending slavery. For Lincoln, the civil war and suspending Habeas Corpus and imprisoning dissident voices (including journalists) was about preserving the Union. You can continue to believe the cartoon version of history we’ve all been indoctrinated with and remain ignorant, or step up now and study history.
