  3.  @jhk062010  The generalizations were merely leading statements hoping to spark you up, but you didn't take that bait. However there are known cultures in each country, and the generally statistically lower end of countries such as America on topics such as freedom. I'd hope I wouldn't need to spell it out, but the US remain one of the worst free countries of them all. Generally the lowest scoring (however last year's statistics showed the US has moved up a few notches, I think you are on par with certain middle eastern countries, but FAR from free. To tell you the truth, it shocks me to no end when Americans consistently state the land of the free, when for decades they have been the lowest of all free countries. Individual decisions sounds a lot like personal beliefs! If we leave it up to the individuals then you'll get a lot of corruption and individual horror stories. I certainly agree that I wouldn't want some totalitarianism society. But I wouldn't want a society he chooses not to wear masks simply because its not their personal belief! A medium would then need to be found. From what I have seen hourly over days/weeks/months in the US is a willful ignorance and poor attitude to things such as Covid safety. Put it this way, not only did we close ALL Cafe's etc, we also closed the churches! You should have seen the uproar there, with many opening anyway only to be shut down the following week due to so many new Covid cases connected to their meetings. ALL went online after that. However I see a lacks of concern of safety in the US (the current worst place for Covid as you must know). With a somewhat of a who cares people are dying attitude, showing how irresponsible they can be in their arrogance (personal choices if you like). Looking merely at the entire world, be it civilized or not, we find the US to have the absolute worst measures in place for Covid. Even to the point of downplaying this critical virus OR any safety measures such as common masks.
