  1. He didn't solve that by the 3 loops (or how many there were, pretty sure 3). Turing was solved because he made muddled up words coherent. IF it were only using this technique, then he would have found many possibilities of incoherent nonsense. He had more clues, as he actually had the paragraph of writing that he was trying to decipher. So when his looping patterns yielded no coherent words, he quickly moved on. The prisoners can't do that here.

  4.  @miloszforman6270  Nah I agree, it was more of a joke. Science or the scientific method is not about making everything wonderful and happy, rather its the best known pathway towards understanding reality. Its all good.
