We KNOW that people cannot meet their love ones in say an afterlife, because our brain would have already started to decay within seconds or minutes after death. As evidence for this, when people suffer a traumatic brain injury they may forget how to walk again! Or they may totally forget familiar family and friends, they may even forget their religious beliefs! And they don't suddenly get these brain memories back, what they need to do is re-learn certain things from the beginning. Therefore even if you met your long lost relatives after birth you would not know them, not only that but because your brain is fully dead you wouldn't be able to think or do anything at all. Therefore if your mythical God created anything 'in his own image' it would have to be bacteria, I mean you would do that too if you could, you would make others of the same species as you. THEN you would make other life species. Therefore if your mythical God if exists (same chances as reason and logic being false, so unlikely); then when you die he may want you as food to gobble up. Simon that's reasonable for life to evolve to its surroundings however hostile it may look presently. But the general consensus of life 'surviving' will not be how do we survive 100 years on Mars! It will be, how do we survive 500 million years or more. The latest ideas including uploading your mind to the cloud BUT as you may already know, this mind in the cloud will only be a clone and not actually OUR mind which would be dead! Its because these deluded and shameful beliefs of indoctrinated theists, cause them to vote in a certain way (lets say as an example, against natural homosexual marriage). 1/2 of them actually stop their own kids learning about sciences such as the fact of evolution! I mean that's a biggy to me, it really pisses me off that theists don't accept FACTS. Its because the theists are LYING to their children (this is my personal biggest concern). People DO Recover From Religion, since I have been doing this a long time, yes I have had many people say to me: Thanks Kim I am an atheist now. So your first sentence was incorrect. Think of it like falling out of a marriage with an abusive partner, but in this case the partner doesn't even exist! Why stress out getting mad. Ok that's true. It does upset me seeing children (especially) being abused by their unknowingly lying parents or the corrupted church's indoctrination processes. Plus I accept science is our best method of determining reality of all life and the Cosmos. I mean hearing from deluded theists: "I don't believe in evolution", is wrong on SO many levels. Its not just that science (actually fact); its natural gays its their ill-informed guesses (prayers) when say doctors are supporting a patient; its a whole range of things. I came up with the line: Religion is not the present way or anything, its just presently in the way of everything. I have been able to simplify a lot of things into 1 line, because lets face it, theists aren't big on acquiring knowledge. Everyone forgotten. Your question is a bit open, because I could answer this on: Actually life still continues in the world even after say the deluded theists die. But that life may have been effected by the deluded theist. Generally you must be aware that Muslim parents bring up Muslim children, and Christian parents bring up Christian children etc etc. So obviously these past people DO effect their children adversely, and then THOSE kids are indoctrinated into nonsense! Thankfully our modern world has removed religion in laws, public schooling, and in many public public scenarios. Eventually I suspect religion will push the most fundamental cognivite dissonance believers back into their closets. That would be acceptable. The 2nd way of answering this is in regards to entropy and heat death. But this falls short too. Its like saying: Why save a drowning baby I mean it'll be dead in a 100 years anyway, and even the parents will be gone. We help people Recover From Religion so as to give our life and others meaning, so we can all be living the best life surrounded by reality. By doing so we then discover new and better health sciences, and obviously better technology, especially apparent with new learning and discoveries within the Cosmos. Yes it seems the Andromeda galaxy WILL collide with the Milky Way galaxy and yes its true that our own Sun will expand and engulf our planet; both in about 4 billion years. Only science can help us to survive these events (let alone inform us of reality), until then continue gardening or enjoying life whilst informing your children of all the wonders of reality that don't include praising the (ZERO evidence) mythical God of morbid death. The intention is to BEGIN their recovery by informing them of certain basics. I mean if I had thought: Well I've said the facts now therefore they fully understand (Lol) At that stage the conversation would have moved to specific issues they may still have but don't fully realize ie Many deluded theists who Recover From Religion are STILL scared of dying and going to some no mans land. Basically the church really implants a lot of unfounded fears into their followers, and to overcome things such as death takes time. Its not like atheists are happy to die!! Its that we were the strongest one or luckiest one to even have a life, there's a lot in this, and to get over the morbid death part seems to be the last hurdle.

My point is about we are all presently alive and therefore should make the best of our lives whilst displaying goodwill to others. In other words, I find that theism is NOT good for anyone. I have good reasons for this; but the main one is that their ideas and feelings that theists provide for their personal (subjective) beliefs are substandard. Since I'm in a position to inform them of their simple fallacies, I do. However, I am going to make your own argument for you. If life is important and we only live once, why then waste time on helping the deluded theists, especially when it can be frustrating at times. Although I had previously answered this as life goes on for others (ie even my family members) therefore lets all try and stop these deluded theists. BUT that doesn't really help me then doesn't it. I could also say I'm leaving the world a better place by helping to cure some deluded theists and thus the thousands they may infect. BUT again that really doesn't help me. So here lies the response on why do teachers exist, why do doctors fix patients, why do active atheists help deluded theists recover from religion etc etc etc etc etc. I mean why do fire fighters put out fires, as next summer the fires are normally always in the same country area no matter what measures they take to help avoid them starting. And ETC. The REASON why supportive people support, is not because they can. Its because its inherently naturally instinctive act (Richard Dawkins states because the small tribes if they took care of each other then that person's survival also went up, but others caring for him). @uglahboi6074 Um evolution hasn't stopped. We now have the capacity to guide our own (ongoing) evolution into the future. But such things as no (legal) stem cell research or human embryo experimentation has obviously delayed this. When things become critical (masses dying even in civilized countries) You can BET that everyone will say YES test any human part you like, lets find a way to survive, even if that means breathing under water! Christianity is about blood-sacrifice, morbid-death praising, fearful God (even THEY admit to that!). The Christians PERFECT goal, their biggest hope is that their Jesus will come back and kill everyone (and it must be in some horrific torturous action of course)! And they feel (yes without empathy or reason) that the ones who don't believe in this horror mythical God (as described and as they agree with) will be in darkness or burn forever or not exist. We look at the actual evidence things that exist (say like the Sun and Earth) and then we calculate that due to their motion and through the confirmed and observed history, laws and predictions. That we can actually calculate the Earth's movement facing towards the Sun :) Unless you have a negative morbid feeling about science? I wonder what method you would use to calculate your invisible mythical God? A feeling in your heart (muscle)? 'Look at the trees'? +Oddest I'm taking the Matt Dillahunty approach here. 'There are a lot of active atheists online helping others to recover from religion, many I don't personally approve of their methods BUT if it helps you can use any way you like to make them see reality again" MY way is using feelings. That's right, I know ALL the Christian fallacies and these days I place strong emotional responses with them. This seems to help a lot of the deluded Christians I converse with, since Christians ALSO use feelings! It does help, possibly because a lot of the deluded Christians I speak with are either teens or low 20's area. And 'science' or logic talks just don't work out on their own. I blame theses deluded Christians parents, they basically lied to their children about a mythical scary monster existing! No need to be scared of this mythical monster anymore, the chances of a morbid-death blood-sacrifice fearing monster mythical-God being true is ZERO.

That's right, the scientific theory (based on facts) is even more known about than the scientific theory (based on facts) of gravity! Hence why you may get others asking do you believe in gravity! The scientific theory (based on facts) of evolution is the ONLY scientific theory (based on facts) that is also a FACT. The only one that has this title!! Evolution is a scientific theory (based on facts) and a FACT. Get use to it. Oh I forgot to inform you why this is. Its because evolution is the MOST known science there is. Maybe you thought it was gravity, or the Cosmos or Einstein's theory of relativity (you know sitting in a car doing a 100 except we are all quite stable) YEP, EVOLUTION is more known about that ALL OF THEM. Richard Dawkins said that if (or when) we ever find intelligent alien life, they too MUST have evolved.

Christians ZERO sufficient evidence based belief, and ZERO good reasoning, does make their absurd beliefs look quite foolish. By the way life on Earth started about 3.5 (up to about 4 ) BILLION years ago, as micro-organisms. Since any mythical God who can create anything he wants! And its been stated by deluded Christians that he made certain life in his own image. Then it only stands to reason that IF this horror God exists he is a micro-organism :D (although I kinda doubt a blood-sacrifice, morbid-death praising, fearful-horror, mythical-God, who states all are born with Jesus-sins and going to Christian-hell would ever exist in reality, otherwise we'd kill it :) )
