  2. Because they had nothing on him, except drugs for personal use. The phone calls and the entire atmosphere was there to get him to admit to the crime. He did that, he said whoever was driving (some name) plus 2 others in the car (he also named) and then he said he did it. THEN the police had something on him for the 1st time. Good idea huh? If you're silly enough to admit guilt in an investigation room over the recorded phone calls.
