  1. My kids grew up in regional/country. My daughter has decided the city with cafe's and nightlife etc etc, is much better.. She hates the country and we even collected wood from the forest together. However my son still prefers the country. Last week he did drive through the city, one main highway he needed to use shows a brilliant city view, but you can only see it when driving on this road! Anyway, I asked him (or his partner in the passenger seat) to take a photo of the city whilst going over the bridge area. Later on I asked to see the photo (especially since he sees the city once or twice a year). He said he didn't take a photo because he found the city buildings view horrific, and he even mentioned to his partner that the buildings spoilt the natural look. So there you go, each to their own. Plus many migrants do in fact work on farms in the country (slave labor actually). I think the main reason why they prefer the city is because country folk tend to be more redneckish, or racist! In the city they are more welcomed by everyone, as long as they don't break the law. I've also found they bring their outdated religion with them, this has actually helped many common Christians recover from their outdated beliefs, as they suddenly realize there are many religions all believing without a shred of evidence! However the migrants don't tend to lose their religion as much, which is a shame, but overall multiculturalism does lower religion which is good.
