  3. Actually I find deists to be the best to chat to and inform why they are wrong. In my view deists are one step away from being an atheist (ie open minded). We can start with the false line you said at the bottom of your reply if you like? Ideally it would be best to ask why do you believe in the first place since there is no reason to? Since that's just getting to the point. Once I had a long debate with a deist and in the end he informed me about how believes in mythical sin. I told him that means he's a deluded Christian as that's where that originated from (only 2000 years ago in our 3 billion life on Earth history). Another 'agnostic' debate saying similar things to you ALSO turned out to be a theist lying again. Generally a lot of 'deists' and 'agnostics' (in the middle, which is impossible of course) are theists in disguise. This is one of the biggest concerns with theism, the fact they will outwardly lie to others with misconceptions and misunderstandings about their own misguided deluded beliefs. With all that aside, please tell me why you feel a deist done it :) And hopefully it's not god of the gaps you just stated, as Duh, i dunno wot made our planet, therefore mythical god. When the best answer to that would be, so could have it been aliens with a million times more intelligence than you? Yes? Therefore, that is more likely than a mythical 'god' who knows everything but made our universe, already knowing the end! What a waste of effort, you could say that would be useless and weak minded. Deism has strong similarities to theism, you just need a church and a lot of believers, hey you could even write a book of man made laws. Can you tell me what your god is thinking right now? Or anytime? Wait, why do you believe in a mythical god without a shred of evidence? Do you believe in a winged horse too?

  7. +Justwantahover Well as I'd guess you are probably aware of Drake Equation, it equates to around 1 million intelligent life species in our galaxy alone (let alone the billion other too far away galaxies). Which would make a trillion. I feel its unlikely we are alone as even intelligent species. Regarding human evolution from now on. Since we are finally able to think and observe the universe (plus even send out intergalactic spacecraft) It is possible we may be at the end of our species (we can go no further) although this could have easily been said about great apes etc. Plus we are at the best time to study the cosmos. In another billion years and possible new species, all solar systems and galaxies will be too far spread out: A galaxy 200 Mly from us would typically be moving away from us with a velocity of 6000 km/second!!! So THIS is the time to make any contact with our species OR the trillion of other intelligent species across the entire universe. I hope my answer wasn't too technical towards your initial question. But helps improve our known knowledge of intelligent species within our local galaxy. How will intelligent humans do this? Only science can help through discovery. Not too long ago humans thought they couldn't design flying machines (not looking it up, but lets say an insignificant century) So warp speeds near to the speed of light with embryos on! may not be out of the question in another hundred years. It doesn't help us specifically, except as the humans trying to evolve technically as well :)
