  1. Time travel has already been tested. Stephen Hawking held a party for time-travelers, but no-one turned up! Since his lifetime goal was about finding the unified theory of everything, it would seem that turning up to his dunner party would be quite reasonable of any time traveler. It opens up other ideas that the future does NOT exist as yet, and in a few million years maybe the guests will finally turn up. But this goes against all time existing at the same time ie Even if you made a time machine today, you still could not visit the future! However there are already confirmed ways to 'time travel'. As proven by astronauts who gain an extra second relative to time on Earth. Bit the theory of relativity and light and gravity bending are not mysterious things to anyone. Approaching the speed of light will make the observer of this seeing a person standing still for millions of years! Although the speed of light person may only pass by 5mins! PLUS it seems visualizing the past (not future) is already fully accepted. If you were on a planet (right now) millions of light years from Earth and could zoom in and see Earth, you may actually see dinosaurs! So going back in time as an observer is also possible. "If you put these people in the same room and ask them to figure out time travel they probably could." Sorry no. UNLESS they went to another universe (the Cosmos understanding) outside of our own laws of physics universe, then otherwise no. I agree its upsetting, but at least dreams can go faster than the speed of light and in any time dimension ;)

  8. The brain will try its best to survive by showing you absolutely anything that can wake you up from associated trauma. It is not uncommon to 'see' things that just aren't there, or to visualize your entire life in one big scene. Again your brain will try anything at all to bump start you back into surviving. Things like out of body experiences have been conclusively proven as false. From using simple experiments as placing a sticky label to the roof or even bringing in something different into the room. The recovered patient never 'sees' these things even though they claim they had an out of body experience. Science has found the brain will SPIKE at the end. It can make a dying patient high on triple dosages of morphine (far more that a person normally being able to respond to even being operated on) and the dying person will still open their eyes at the end seemingly fully awake just before the end. This 'spike' in brain activity has given common responses (by near-death patients) as being flooded with light OR seeing past relatives. Basically the brain will try ANYTHING at all, but can only try things that you already knew of, such as your own life experiences. None of which is real for that time and place. Drugs and brain trauma are negative bad things that make our thoughts WORSE or less reasoning skills. I remember being so high on drugs at an overnight beach party that I began walking into the ocean. When I was stopped by my friend (thankfully) he asked why are you trying to drown yourself? I said I was merely seeing if I could walk to China under the sea! THIS is not a healthy brain even if I survived underwater for more minutes than I could ever normally do. The idea with savants in this film is NOT about head trauma or drugs, it is about how the brain can rebuild making neuron contacts that would have never been there naturally before. Therefore the time of this wonderful experience canNOT happen at time of trauma (or high on drugs). it happens only after the brain recovers (if ever) from such a damaging effect. All studies seem to show a younger child receiving some type of brain damage has the best hope of the brain recovering over many many years, its not straight away, not straight after, and its certainly not at time of death.
