@RealmCenter40 when you enroll you usually don't declare your major right then and there. But yeah, parents definitely aren't involved or pay attention enough to what their kids are doing, even if they're legally adults. But student loans are predatory. I think the schools should be on the hook for some of the money if they'll have pointless programs like anime or women's studies and the graduate can't find a job. It would eliminate those programs and reduce the overall amount of student debt as it would weed out the fully grown children who won't grow up and focus on students looking for a career.

@RealmCenter40 don't get me wrong, I think college is overrated. I'm just commenting from my own experience. If I could do it again I would have gotten into a trade and I actually have a career in what I went to school for with no debt. It just took way longer. It would have been nice to be making this money in my early 20s instead of early 30s. Anyway, colleges and public schools in general are just indoctrination centers. They don't churn out productive citizens but rather activists who only seek to indoctrinate more to their cause.
