@Dave Blackman I've been thinking a lot of this is a bluff to get the more weak-willed to comply. These companies can't afford to lose large amounts of their workforce. In less than 3 weeks I'm supposed to be vaccinated or get fired. I don't want to work anywhere that forces me to undergo unwanted medical procedures so I see no downside in calling their bluff.

@johnt7661 my mandate is from the state as well so I'm just as screwed. Not only will they fire you if you test positive but you'll have to pay out of pocket for each test as insurance doesn't cover it. The going rate in my area is $106. So I'd have to pay $424 a month just to keep my job. I'm most likely just going to leave my state and take my chances moving to America. I agree that companies definately don't want to take the hit. But Biden is threatening $14k fines for each infraction. That's definately enough for a business to fire you and take their chances hiring someone new.

@seeingsights mine isn't. My state mandated vaccines for state workers and my union said: "we're working with the state to ensure the health and safety of our members."

@seeingsights my union sucks. Now they're trying to tell us that they're fighting for us by getting us weekly testing. They're useless and a waste of money

@johnt7661 I'm in the same situation as you. As of right now, more than half of my company is unvaccinated. But I'm sure the pressure will get to them and they'll comply. Like you I was going to ride it out to the end

@johnt7661 well I've taken one flu shot my life and I caught the flu that season. The only time I ever caught the flu. So that isn't very reassuring to me if it works just like a flu vax. But I guess it is better than mRNA. What do you know about the J&J vax? I've heard it's a viral vector vaccine like a traditional vaccine. It seems like it would be safer than Pfizer or moderna if I am forced to take something
