And even if we do get a vaccine, it will most likely be like the flu vaccine which is barely effective at all seeing as we have never had a working vaccine for RNA viruses. Cv19 will still be here whether theres a vaccine or not. We cant stay shut in forever and were doing irreversible damage to the economy which will dwarf the damage done by the virus

  23.  @mgm8822  viruses dont mutate that quickly and that differently where you can become reinfected in a matter of weeks. If you're immune system was strong enough to prevent it once it will most likely be able to prevent it again. Just testing for the virus is pointless not because you somehow have it but test negative, but because you can be tested today and catch it tomorrow. Antibody testing is much more valuable. Not only will you know who is most likely immune, but you will get a much more accurate number for infection and death rates. But that would show that everything has been vastly overestimated and we cant have that

  26.  @mgm8822  it's not 10 times more deadly than the flu. More infectious, yes. So you could argue that it could lead to more deaths simply by more people being infected. But that doesnt mean the mortality rate is higher. There are studies showing that many more people have been infected and didnt even know. Those new studies on the conservative end show a mortality rate around 0.1% which is close to the regular flu. Fauci even wrote an article on the NEJH saying the same thing back in march

  29.  @RyanInLA  I'm convinced regular flu deaths are being counted as the symptoms are similar and the test cant tell the difference but that's besides the point. There are many drs you can search on here (dr Shiva's interview with Stefan Molyneux is good) that say we should have never locked down and all we are doing is prolonging the spread. At this rate the virus will never "pass" because it will take us far too long to reach herd immunity and we will continue dealing with new strains. The interview also goes deep into Fauci and his flawed science. But, dragging this out is only prolonging this situation, while destroying the economy in the process which will lead to overflowing hospitals and far more death than the virus
