  2.  @mattmarzula  absolutely. It would deter people from breaking in if there was real consequences. The reason it happens so often is because the homeowner in many states is completely helpless.

  3.  @TheGreenKnight500  the problem with castle doctrine is it varies widely state by state. In TX you can shoot a tresspasser while in NJ you have duty to retreat and cannot shoot unless there's no means of escape.
