@adrienneweare2772 I'm black. I know from experience they were smiling at each other as they thought to themselves, "Here we go. This guy is about to say something ignorant and stupid." Any time someone says "You people....." It's an ignorant white person who doesn't give a damn about black people and is about to say something ignorant.

Okay but how do you attract good teachers who may not want to work (teach) in the 'ghetto'? What if the parents are not educated and cannot help their kids in school? What if it's hard for students to have an appreciation for working really hard in school because: you have no personal role models, you have no guidance, you feel you're not supposed to do well in school because you're black? Also, peer-pressure has a lot to do with it. If you are a black student who goes to school with kids who have not been indoctrinated to value school, you will face TREMENDOUS peer pressure to not stand out as the 'nerd,' in a community where survival is all about strength, where you have few friends if you want to be the smart kid. Also, sometimes the community won't have money to fix the roads or pay for education. And sometimes there may be corruption. Last but not least, everyone expects black people to be less educated, which becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy.

BelowMeGoggle Democrats don’t just live in California and New York. Those states don’t even make up 25% of the population. Tons of Democrats live in Texas, Colorado, etc and no one ever mentions them.

In order to survive in a culture, you need to have an appreciation for its history. We know blackface is racist--maybe not in every country, but in America it is. The kid might not be to blame, but his mother should've known better. Somebody was bound to be offended by that the the connotations it represented.

But that's just it. Blacks are WAYYY more likely to get arrested for drug possession. White kids are more likely to get a slap on the wrist and a "Don't do it again." That's one reason why so many blacks are in prison. Unfair police practices that disproportionately victimize minority communities. They're more likely to go to prison and get a longer sentence for the same offense. Just like how stop and frisk unfairly targets blacks and Latinos when whites are indeed more likely to be caught carrying an illegal drug or weapon. Apparently, minorities just 'look' like the bad guys because of how and where they were born.

@colinkilz7277 It seems you don't quite undertand why we let that one go with Biden. It's hard to find a white politician (especially the older ones) who has NEVER said something that comes across as racist. But against Trump and his angry white mob, it was no contest. Notice that the vast majority of people who are still "upset" at Biden's comment (a year after the fact) are not black. They are white Republicans faking anger at something most black people stopped caring about 6 months ago. You're trying to play some kind of gotcha on Democrats even though the Republican Party has become a party full of white nationalists afraid of cultural change.

@colinkilz7277 Like I said. Fake anger. If racism is truly a problem for you, then you should be quite pleased with Biden's diverse leadership team and his broad support from all races.
