@ladedalounge We have a problem in this country with conspiracy theorists. They're called Republicans. And the refuse to acknowledge how hated Donald Trump was. So they don't understand how Biden won. So they come up with conspiracy theories to explain it. They told themselves that the voting machines switched votes....until the voting machine companies sued Fox News for $2.7 BILLION for defamation. (After suing Rudy Giuliani 1.3 BILLION for defamation.) Everyone lives in their own bubble. So Republicans are shocked when a man who never even hit 50 percent approval lost reelection to a generic Democrat.

Being a cop is a social job, which he probably likes. And it gives him something meaningful to do besides sit at home all day or go fishing. If I were 91, I would hate spending my days with nothing to do but fish or sit on the beach. The way I see, as long as I don't hate my job, I want to keep doing some kind of work, even part-time.

Corrupt Republicans. Trying to overturn elections like it's a banana republic
7
@bbailey4life They use the same fuel as any other big rocket. Kerosene, liquid hydrogen, and liquid oxygen. Not terribly toxic. Just explosive.
7
Careful. Rudy Giuliani already got sued 1.3 billion by Dominion for spreading lies about their voting machines. Now Giuliani says he fully accepts the results of the election. Money (or losing money) makes people do strange things. Fox News just got sued 2.7 billion for spreading lies about Smartmatic voting machines. Fox tried to retract it, but it was too late. Lies have consequences. Trump got impeached for spreading lies about the election. Lies have consequences. His first round impeachment lawyers quit because it would be unethical for them to lie for him like he wanted. Lies have consequences. Nixon lied about Watergate, impeached Bush lied about Iraq, embarrassed our country. Trump lied about the election, impeached twice, embarrassed our country. Republican presidents are on a role.

Because they have to fit an entire interview into a 13 minute video. There's going to be some major editing.

@timothyraybennett8035 Nobody has kids for the welfare.
3
"More likely than not" is all that is required since it is not a criminal case. That is how the law works in this country. Therefore the Jan 6 committee can get the emails from his lawyer who was planning a coup by VP Pence. Luckily for Trump, the standard of proof will be higher if he ever gets charged.
3
RIP ¡ And edited interviews means they get to fit in more questions.
3
Well it turns out that Republicans have been behaving quite poorly. They spent four years mocking the other party while they supported a sociopath, and then spread conspiracy theories and tried to overthrow the government when they lost an election.
3
@nancywalker1325 Its because they showed a preview of the interview before showing the full interview on Super Bowl Sunday
2
@LowerYourExpectationsPleb Rich CEOs are always conspiring to get politicians elected. Yet it's always Republicans doing their best to make sure rich CEOs can spend unlimited money on elections. You don't like the system, but you keep voting for the party that works the hardest to keep that system in place. Meanwhile, Democrats keep trying to pass bills to get big business and money out of politics. But Republicans (party of big business) keep blocking them. Don't complain about the system you keep voting to keep in place.
2
Well Biden is not a one man crime wave
2
Yea. Because there are sooooo many other ways to interpret Trump saying they should "recalculate" the vote and to "find" exactly 11,780 votes. 100% media bias right 👍🏽
2
RIP ¡ All interviews in this format are edited. They keep the speaking parts and throw out the filler. You want them to air the part where the Biden sits there as the interviewer shuffles through her pages for the next question? Maybe you want to see the part where the cameraman tells them to pause so he can adjust the camera angle?
2
truth hurts Well Republicans are the party that tried to overthrow the government.
2
No. GDP is always calculated taking inflation into account. Otherwise it would be pretty useless as an in indicator of economic growth. So basically our GDP grew 3% over and above inflation.
2
Okay here's your recommendation: eat better and exercise. I'm pretty sure they've been telling us that for about a hundred years. It's like saying "don't have sex". Btw, there have been more than a few fit people who ended up hospitalized from Covid. Like they keep saying, it's playing Russia roulette. Most will be okay, but the ones who end up in the hospital will still expect hospital staff to spend their time and energy on them. Hence the mandates to push people past their fear.
1
@markmywords5342 It's funny you mention Germany, because they and a whole bunch of other countries with abundant supplies of vaccine are about to lay down the law on unvaccinated people. It ain't just here in the US. It's a public health emergency and governments are gonna follow public health experts to solve it. And so are more and more businesses.
1
@markmywords5342 Yes I know you were referring to the 1930s. But your analogy doesn't really fit when basically every developed country is enforcing vaccine mandates. And the only reason less developed countries are not enforcing it is because the don't have enough vaccines in the first place.
1
@markmywords5342 Covid went from being the No. 1 leading cause of death in the US back in the beginning of the year to being No. 7 after the vaccines were widely released. It's hard to argue with those facts. It shouldn't be that hard to understand why they have the mandates. Not to mention the vast majority of the population actually favors the mandates.
1
@markmywords5342 And this is why I don't argue with conspiracy theorists. Every conversation always turns into some random plot to take over the world. Wow👌🏾
1
Well I suppose it is one of the main responsibilities of a government to keep its people alive, even when they get caught up in the conspiracy theories and anti-vax misinformation. So they give you a little push just like with every other vaccine.
1
@crownuk4867 Are you not an anti-vaxxer?
1
@fadedtiger3181 Okay let me ask you. Do you think, more likely than not, that it was legal for VP Pence to reject the election and send the votes back to the states based on some conspiracy theories of voter fraud? Would you be okay if VP Harris did the same thing in 2024 if Biden lost?
1
Nothing says innocence like paying $787.5 million. It is truly amazing how many people have destroyed themselves by following Trump. It's a cult.
1
@otissmith7057 You're right. He was a one man crime wave then, and he is still a one man crime wave now. But it doesn't matter. Because something something Hunter Biden.
1
@boltskyline2957 You say that after Trump is out of office like we didn't have to resist his authoritarianism for 4 years. We got lucky. We were two steps away from having a dictator overthrow democracy and you want to act like things were okay all along.
1
@boltskyline2957 No one is getting censored for disagreeing with Biden. Trump supporters have flooded social media with their conspiracy theories for YEARS! People get censored for bullying, harassment, incitement of violence, or spreading misinformation. And besides, everyone agrees to the terms of service when they sign up. Suddenly the party of "law and order" is all upset when rules are enforced on them.
1
@Rorschach1010 Nothing about the Clintons has EVER been proven (except for Bill Clinton's affair). They are the subject soooooo many conspiracy theories, it's impossible to count. It would be easy to find that out on your own, but it's just so popular to hate the Clintons. Most people who already don't like the Clintons have no interest in disproving their beliefs with a google search.
1
New York City is on high alert because Trump's followers are a bunch of violent domestic terrorists. Hate crimes and domestic terror are all they know how to do. Oh, and banning books about black, brown, or gay people. "Give a white man someone to look down on and he'll empty his pockets for you."
1
"More likely than not" is preponderance of the evidence you're talking about. Just in layman's terms.
1
@timothyraybennett8035 That may be how they make a living, but there is no way they went through the process of having kids just to get on welfare. People have kids because they want to have kids.
1
@kathykamphake8342 It takes a special kind of person to be against ending child poverty just because you think their parent is undeserving. Everyone deserves to have a good childhood, no matter who their parents are.
1
@YouTube Account Honestly, what's wrong with being a globalist? This is the internet age. Kind of hard to act like the rest of the world doesn't exist.
1
There is nothing to prove. Trump's lawyer was saying that his emails were protected by attorney-client privilege. But emails involving committing a crime are not protected. All the Jan 6 committee had to show was that "more likely than not" those emails were used in committing a crime. The standards of proof are different in lawsuits vs criminal trials.
1
@notofthisworld5267 I trust the government. But maybe it's just because I know the ins and outs of how government works. Knowledge tends to reduce fear.
1
Distraction from what? This is THE main event. Also, it's possible to do more than one thing at a time.
1
Depends on where in the city you go. There are certain neighborhoods you know not to spend too much time in unless you live there (just like with any city). Most of the city is fine though. It's a big place with many different environments.
1
@ralphholiman7401 Democrats actually pay more in taxes than Republicans. Blue states pay more in taxes than they take in, in order for red states to stay above water.
1
To be honest, I can't figure out why God made us go through this in the first place. Trump turned 40 percent of the country into hateful people. It will take decades to fix all the sociopaths Trump created in his wake.
1
It only No. 1 because it's the only place conservatives have to go to be fed lies. If you add up the viewership of all the other outlets, it far surpasses Fox. Which is why the "We're No. 1" is so misleading.
1
Yeah everyone was running from the insurrectionists. It's understandable. But why was Hawley running? I though he stood in support of their actions.
1
Dicky Jones Yea Democrats and Republicans are all bad. Only Trump is good. He so good he just comitted a crime on tape.....AGAIN. He accuses others of fraud, but he can't convince a court. But then he goes and commits his own fraud on tape. Typical Trump, commit the crimes he accuses others of. He just got impeached for this. And Republicans like Susan Collins were like "He learned his lesson." Corrupt, felon in the White House. We should use these 17 days to impeach him again.
1
But they may be able to plead to a lower sentence based on their addiction if they sow that they went to treatment. After all, addicts are known to lead destructive lives and lose their self control.
1
It's not a criminal case. It's a civil case about obtaining Trump's lawyer's emails. The judge is saying that "more likely than not," concocting a plan to have VP Pence overturn the election is illegal. Therefore, Trump's lawyer's emails discussing the plan are not protected by attorney-client privilege. So the investigators in Congress can get the emails.
1
@davidmichael2209 It's not a criminal case. It's a lawsuit over obtaining some emails. The rules of proof are lower.
1
@howdabowdix No you do not have to just "allege" the lawyer committed a crime. You have to convince the judge that he "more likely than not committed a crime." And it's true: concocting a plan to have VP Pence reject the election results was "more likely than not a crime." In his emails that were already released, he explicitly said it was okay for Pence's people to commit one "minor violation". Which means he KNEW the plan was illegal.
1
@howdabowdix It doesn't matter what the specifics of the violation were. He admitted he knew it was a violation of the law, so therefore his related emails lose their protection. Period. The emails the Jan 6 committee used to justify the allegation were NOT privileged. They already obtained thousands of unprotected emails by subpoena from Trump's lawyer and cited them in their court filing. They also have witness testimony from Mike Pence's chief-of-staff. They went to court to get the rest of the emails that actually were privileged. It should not be surprising that the committee was successful. Republicans had a win at ALL costs attitude about the 2020 election. Countless people have detroyed their lives trying to keep cult-leader Trump in office.
1
@howdabowdix Sounds like you should take your complaints to court and PROVE IT. Until proven in court, it is only a nutty conspiracy theory. Still waiting for your "but the judges are all against us" argument. Stop breaking the law and you won't have legal issues.
