  4. Actually the bill closed the door on corruption. One of its new rules was forcing dark money into the light. Aside from that, all it did was ban partisan gerrymandering and make it easier to vote. And an amendment was added to to enforce national voter ID. But Republicans are still against it because this bill would have enforced fairness. But Republicans don't want fairness. Why would Republicans want fairness when they can't win the popular vote? Republicans NEED the game to be unfair, or they will be forced to moderate their policies and move to the center to keep winning elections.

Trump accuses Democrats of fraud in court (and loses 60 times and twice in front of the Supreme Court). Meanwhile he gets caught on tape committing the crime of.....wait for it......election fraud. And he lost....including twice in front of the Supreme Court. Just because you and him don't accept how that turned out doesn't really matter. In this country we follow the rule of law and the courts have spoken. We have two weeks to impeach Trump again before his term is up. Corrupt felon will probably try to pardon himself.

  14.  @justoman9861  Gas used to cost the EXACT same this time in 2018....while Trump was in office. Prices went up this time because demand soared once people started getting vaccinated. Food is more expensive because supply chains still need to ramp up. Companies had to lay off everyone but now they have to hire them back. Facts matter. Republicans wanted to just let people die so they could protect the economy to get Trump reelected.

Limiting mail in voting, shortening early voting, eliminating automatic and same day voter registration, curbing the use of ballot drop boxes, and allowing for more aggressive means to remove people from the voter rolls. Also allowing partisan state legislatures to take over state election boards if they don't like the results.

Well maybe Donald Trump Jr. and half the people in Trump's 2016 campaign shouldn't have met with Russian officials before the election (and lied about it) and we wouldn't have accused him of colluding with Russia. That accusation didn't come out of thin air ya know. Not to mention when he fired the FBI director and obstructed the Mueller investigation (what innocent person does that?). And let's not forget when he made the traitorous move of siding with Putin over his own American intelligence agencies. And beyond that, you have no room to complain, since just 3 years later Trump got impeached for trying to collude with Ukraine to tamper with the 2020 election. CORRUPT

  19. Not with a Georgia special grand jury. She can talk freely about anything she heard or saw in the room during the investigation. She can even talk about who they recommended for prosecution in their report (even though she didn't). The only thing she is prohibited from talking about is the conversations and deliberations with other members of the jury. How they made their decisions.

  32. No that's not true. This bill was specifically meant to get rid of dark money and gerrymandering, two of the main things that prevent our government from operating effectively. Republicans, the anti-government party, do not want, nor do they benefit from, the government operating effectively. Accusing both parties of being the same is a HUGE false equivalence. One party has lots of ideas. The other party has no ideas, but will do anything to scare people into stopping the idea party.

The whole point of a political party is to garner enough support to form a governing coalition that can win elections. The problem is, Republicans have gone down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories and authoritarianism. They don't have popular policies so they scare people into voting for them because the Democrats are "evil socialists who want to take your freedoms". Republicans are against everything, and for nothing. Meanwhile Democrats just want to pass some laws they think will help people.

  36.  @William1866  But bailouts for blue states are already in the 1.9 trillion Biden originally proposed. It's Republicans that are trying to take that aid away with their 600 billion bill. Biden has 0 reason to compromise with Republicans unless he thinks it will help with bipartisanship in the future (which it won't). It's great Biden met with them, but it's time to get moving with the original plan. His presidency and our lives are on the hook.

  37.  @William1866  Democrats will be able to pass it on their own with the Reconciliation process (the same way Republicans passed their tax cuts and tried to kill Obamacare). As long as their 1.9 trillion bill only affects the budget (but not regulations), they can pass it on a party-line vote with 50 votes plus Kamala as the tie-breaker. They can and must go around Republicans to fix the economy. Republicans have no interest in helping Biden be successful.

So, Jani, please stop trying to change the subject. Republicans all over the country do NOT want black people to vote. If they did, they wouldn't be passing all these new voting laws that disproportionately affect black and brown people. Okay Jani. I hope that makes sense. Black people said "No" and Republicans did it anyway.

Trying to steal elections while at the same time accusing the Democrats of stealing elections (Republicans are STILL trying to prove fraud over a year after the fact). Trump got impeached twice for trying to steal the 2020 election. And now Republicans are continuing down the road of bogus accusations in order to prevent black people from voting.
