What did they learn that they haven't already learned through satellites? The military purposely waited until it was over water. They took precautions and had every chance to shoot it down earlier if they thought it was necessary.

The amount of credit card debt will always hit record highs. Just like salaries, the national debt, the stock market, and the amount of money in people's bank accounts are always hitting record highs. Saying something related to money is at a record high is pretty much meaningless without relevant context.

@KrazeDiamond They didn't actually wait for it to drop to 30,000ft. Every article says it was shot down while hovering between 60,000 and 65,000ft. Besides, the F-22 can fly up to 60,000ft. I think it's true that they just didn't want to shoot it down over a populated area.

Senators don't do anything on their own. And Vice Presidents have no official power. I just don't get it when people say "Biden didn't do anything for 47 years." On a practical level, the argument makes no sense. He was representing his constituents.
4
@KrazeDiamond Why wouldn't I believe they wanted to wait until it was over water? There is literally no reason for anyone to lie about that. Think about it.
3
The military had every opportunity to shoot it down and chose not to. I think we can assume they took the necessary precautions since they decided to wait until it was over water.
2
@Goodpatron Well the military told us they took precautions. But I guess you're allowed to have a different opinion since I guess you were in the room when the generals made the decision.
1
@Goodpatron And just because someone says something doesn't mean you need to assume it's a lie. Seriously. What reason would the military have to lie about that?? They are the ones with the most to lose. You're letting the conspiracy side of your mind run wild with accusations that don't even make any sense. You're basically calling our military, the strongest in the world, weak and stupid.
1
@Goodpatron True patriots respect our men and women in uniform. Without any evidence, you accused the miltary of lying to the American people. If you hate our military maybe America is not the place for you.
1
@Williestyle-RobotechxMacross-x Maybe because theybwerent sure what it was at that time. You'd have to ask the military. But Biden wasn't briefed until it was already over Montana. In case you're insinuating it might have been his fault.

@imo8249 What would you prefer the media talk about?
1
No, CBS and its reporters have never been found guilty of doing the same. Because no news network has ever been caught intentionally lying to increase profits. Except for Fox, the channel that leads the fight against so-called fake news.

It takes time for a country to fall. For one, the US is much more stable than Venezuela was. And two, Venezuela's president won't give up power. Ours will, or he will be dragged out. But it does seem like we're trying our best to end up on Venezuela's level, with Trump delegitimizing the guy who beat him while trying to sue his way into a second term.
1
@Cabledeluz1977 No, of course it's not illegal for Trump to sue anyone. But the good thing about our court system is you actually need evidence. No evidence, you case gets thrown out. You don't sue without proof. It's common sense. Which is why Trump isn't going to get anywhere in the courts. Trump's supporters have been able to spend 4 years not caring about facts, just wishing their beliefs into reality. Not gonna cut it this time.
1
@Cabledeluz1977 Why is it that mainstream media was fine until Fox News came out? It seems like mainstream media only became the bad guy once Fox News came into existence. And Fox increased their ratings by attacking other news organizations. Now, with Fox and social media, everyone lives in their own fact universe. Fortunately in court, only one set of facts wins out. And Trump is finding that out right now, as all his voter fraud cases immediately get thrown out of court.
1
@Cabledeluz1977 They already did take that case to court about one party "shutting out the other party." It was thrown out on literally the same day after Trump's lawyer was forced to admit under oath that it was made up. Republicans were already inside observing. The only people blocked from entering were unofficial observers trying to make the news. The fact that you still don't know this and it was a case that was thrown out of court last week shows just how different fact universes we live in. You accuse me of watching biased news but you're still chasing a story that was thrown out of court a week ago.
1
@Cabledeluz1977 Donald Trump is wasting taxpayer money hiring law firms to sue states over fraud when he has no evidence. How does he expect to win in court with no evidence?? Yes, it's just as stupid as it sounds. It's basically the presidential version of a temper tantrum. Meanwhile, Obama invited Trump to the White House two days after Trump won by a smaller amount than Joe has won by. That's why Obama will always be more respected.
1
@Cabledeluz1977 And yet Obama is still more respected and Trump is a one-term president. Most people think Trump is dumb and is a sociopath. Most people think Obama is a good person, even if you don't like his policies. And what's more, Obamacare is still here providing health insurance for millions of Americans. And Biden will reinstate all Obama's executive orders.
1
It's crazy. Why would the jury believe a man who went to prison for the same crime because he lied to help Trump. Oh wait 🤔 Arr you saying he has actual copies of the checks to back up his claims?
1
@nathannemetz8807 First, Biden was only in the Senate for 39 years. Served as chairman of the judiciary committee. 8 years as vice-president. Second, how do you know Biden didn't bring in any bills or good ideas? Did you research that or just repeat the talking point. It's quite common for senators to introduce many bills that only include spending. (probably spending that helped his home state). It's also common for senators to introduce bills that don't get passed. If it's not getting passed, chances are you're probably not going to hear about it in the news. Especially not 40 years later. Partisanship seems to drain out our common sense.
1
@nathannemetz8807 What did Trump do that showed he was prepared to be president? Nothing. He's probably the laziest president in world history. Spends all his time watching TV. But yea, that's a good chunk of the reason people voted for Biden. Trump gambled on COVID and lost. And his administration is 90% white males in diversifying country. Shows a serious lack of good judgment. But you forgot to add that Biden also stands for all the other things Democrats stand for. Climate, healthcare, science, believing in a common set of facts, workers' rights, civil rights, etc. Oh, and that crime bill Republicans like to blame on Biden (since they suddenly started to care about people in prison)... it passed with 95 out of 100 votes. So I'm pretty sure Republicans supported it too. If I refused to vote for anyone who's ever made a mistake in life, I'd never get to vote.
1
@nathannemetz8807 It's funny conservatives are so terrified of Kamala. It means Biden cannot be impeached. I wonder what he can get away with....?

Trump turned on Cohen after 10 years of loyalty. So now Cohen has turned on Trump. This is what happens when you demand loyalty but don't give it in return. Sometimes karma bites back. First president to be a felon.
1
Probabaly because his former boss turned on him after 10 years of loyalty, lied about him, let him get locked up for helping him, then tried to lock him up AGAIN for releasing a book critical of Trump. Trump is learning the hard way that you cannot keep throwing your people under the bus when you're done with them.
1
@NWstockoperator Convicted of perjury for lying to protect Trump. I don't think that's going to hurt Cohen's credibility given that it is Trump who is being prosecuted.
1
@srappytrex3946 But given that they knew the balloon was there, they clearly wouldn't have let the equipment react.
1
@srappytrex3946 Well then you just answered your own question. If we couldn't shoot it down, then we couldn't shoot it down. The end. The jets and missiles we have are what we have.
1
@srappytrex3946 So what's your point? Are you looking for someone to blame or just calling out the inadequacies of our jets and missiles?
1
@srappytrex3946 You were asking why they didn't respond earlier. Then you answered your own question by saying out jets and missiles are not good. I was wondering what the motive was choose not to believe it was about safety and instead choose to criticize our military hardware, without concrete evidence.
