Ever hear that story about the man standing on top of his house during a flood and refusing help from people in boats because God would save him? Then he drowned and asked God why he wasn't saved. God reminded him he sent 3 boats to rescue him but he never took them. Reminds me of religious people who won't get the vaccine because "God will save them."

Yes, vaccinated people can get the virus, but almost no one who is vaccinated ends up in the hospital or dies. 99 percent of the people in the hospital are unvaccinated. They are about to be ventilated and feeling regret and asking for the vaccine when it's already too late. All because they want to be anti-Democrat. Unvaccinated people about to give these overworked doctors a stroke with their conspiracy theories and lack of common sense. "Thinking for yourself" nowadays means being purposefully ignorant. If you didn't go to medical school, you probably don't know what you're talking about.
6
Literally every practicing doctor is saying the same thing. Ask your own doctor, he will probably recommend you get the shot. Trump put in all that work to make sure it was ready. Why would you refuse it?
6
@pretentiousprogressive1949 That's exactly what a conspiracy theorist would say. "Such-and-such is happening, but they are being silenced." If they are being silenced and the proof is being hidden, then how the heck do you know about it? Something you heard on some random YouTube video or TV show.
5
Yes, some vaccinated people catch covid. No one EVER said it was 100% effective at preventing you from catching it. That was very made clear when the vaccines were first released. But the vaccines truly are close to 100% effective at keeping you out the hospital or dying. The only states with hospital beds and ICUs filling up again are states where people with low vaccination rates. Alabama, Missouri, Florida, Texas. Almost all Trump states full of conspiracy theorists who think someone is out to get them. That's what happens when you make healthcare decisions out of defiance based on your politics. Once in a while, common sense will save a life.
4
All these people asking us not to push our beliefs on them to protect the public health. Then they randomly end up in the hospital with pneumonia on high pressure oxygen expressing regret because so-and-so told them they were better off without the shot. Just a heads up...Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump both got the shot.
4
Good luck 👍. If you get infected, make sure you stay home. If you can't breath.... make sure you stay home. Don't give these doctors any more grief because of your personal choices.
3
Which doctors? What's not being reported?
3
@Dan-ger82 Yes, always question. Glad you got more information about your daughter's illness. So when 99 percent of medical professionals are giving you the same answer and you still refuse to listen, you have to start wondering if maybe something is wrong with how you are processing information rather than blaming the doctors. At some point it becomes more a matter of defiance rather than just "asking questions". The more they push, the harder you push back. You're dug in. More information and more opinions will make no difference.
3
@John14-6- Side effects from the covid shot rarely last longer than 24 hours. Tiredness, chills, and body aches as your body builds up immunity.... half of people have no side effects at all. You can easily look this information up or ask one of he 68% percent of American adults who have gotten at least one shot. Just take a day off from work after getting it and you're good to go.
2
@Dan-ger82 Yes, the vast majority of the world is on my side. Most people are desperate for shots as they see their family members die. Cimmon sense. Yet here in America where we had access to shots before anyone else, the best predictor of your vaccination status is the political party you support. It's so sad how politics overrides common sense
2
@alishatate7940 Like he said, your immune system probably is strong enough to fight it. But your odds would be about 9x better with a vaccine.
2
Candy smith What are you talking about? Latest news is the NFL is getting ready to penalize any team that has an outbreak because of unvaccinated people. 80 percent of NFL players are already vaccinated. That is a fact.
2
@pretentiousprogressive1949 Okay so what's your alternative? You probably don't like masks. And you don't like the vaccine. But the only reason things are going back to normal is because people are getting vaccinated. But only in certain places. Just look at the Tokyo Olympics. No spectators for the first time ever because most people in the world are unvaccinated. And here you are saying the vaccine is bad. I guess you want the world to remain shut down forever.....or just let a large portion of the population die because you think the vaccine is worse. More time for mutations to make the virus worse.
2
@pretentiousprogressive1949 I highly doubt that. 68 percent of American adults are vaccinated and increasing. Including 56 percent of Republicans. The whole world is standing in line to buy American-produced vaccines. By those metrics alone, I'm one the right side of history. You're not going to convince many people they are being "controlled" when they make a voluntary choice to protect their health. Especially if they had a family member or friend end up in the hospital, like I did. You're fighting a pointless battle to protect your pride.
2
@pretentiousprogressive1949 Where are you finding the silenced doctors then? How many have you found?
2
@tonyamd9800 Poison. Are you saying that God's scientists made a poison? Do me a favor: tell me how many people have died of the vaccine (or ANY vaccine in all of recorded history). Now tell me how many people have died of the virus. You are making decisions out of fear, defiance, and politics. But how about common sense?
2
@pleiadesstarr453 What would make you feel safe about taking one of the vaccines. Or is it just a flat NO for the rest of your life. At what point does it stop being an "experiment"?
1
@pleiadesstarr453 Based on what you know about the vaccines, which ones do you feel are unsafe? There are 3 different ones from 3 different companies (not including the ones developed in other countries). All of them work differently and are made using a different process. Which ones do you feel are unsafe?
1
hakuna matata They were saying we would need a booster before the vaccines were even fully developed. It's not because the vaccines are poorly made. It's because they know from previous experience that our bodies don't build permanent defenses against coronaviruses. It's the same reason we can catch a cold year after year. The common cold is caused by a coronavirus that your body quickly forgets about after you fight it off. So you catch it again. Some viruses and vaccines your body forgets. Others it remembers for a long time.
1
@Dan-ger82 You asked me if I can prove the vaccine has not killed anyone.. How about you ask any licensed doctor on Earth? Can you provide any proof that people have died from the vaccine? It is not my job to prove anything. You are the one who made the accusation. You need to back it up.
1
@Dan-ger82 I'm assuming you are also a medical examiner who has reviewed the documentation of the people who you say have died from the shot. We can both play that game. But the vast majority of the world is on my side. Feel free to continue with your "freedom of thought" though.
1
Who told you it was 99.8 survival rate? Got a source for that or is that just what you want to believe because it fits your politics? How about the rate of long term lung damage? The only people dying from this preventable disease nowadays are Republicans. You had your laugh, but now it's only Republicans lying in hospital beds because of they care so much about their "freedom". Good luck 👍
1
@vegasmooch Only 3 percent of those hospitalized with covid were vaccinated. Covid is now a disease of the unvaccinated. You're relying on God's immune system to protect you even though he made scientists with brains who made you a vaccine.
1
@alholds It really is just Republicans ending up in the hospital. And it's because only 56 percent of Republicans are vaccinated.....compared to 86 percent of Democrats. Republicans politicized healthcare. They want Trump to get all the credit, but they don't want it pushed on them by a Democrat government.
1
@alholds Well since YouTube does not allow us to post links anymore, how about you Google it (or DuckDuckGo if that's your preference). I'm pretty sure you will find the proof I'm relying on in the first two or three results. The vast majority of people dying of Covid today are living in states that voted for Trump. What is shocking to me is that every Republican wants Donald Trump to get credit for developing the vaccine, but suddenly they don't want it anymore now that a Democrat government is pushing it. Politics overrides common sense.
1
@vegasmooch Are you really going to use data from one city to negate nationwide trends? I would say you are the one cherrypicking information.
1
@alholds Why aren't you taking it? Is it out of defiance or because you think the vaccine might be harmful? Pretty sure it's one or the other.
1
@alholds Well at least you understand the calculated risks. I guess we just have a difference of opinion. Just know that even if only 0.2% of people die from it, a LOT more than that are ending up in the hospital with pneumonia on high pressure oxygen. They leave the hospital with lung scarring and a long-term reduced ability to do strenuous activities. Lost ability to smell. Heart damage. I don't know why so many people are only focused on the people who die. I wouldn't want to be afflicted with it at all when catching it could possibly leave me with a reduced quality of life.
1
@vegasmooch Okay, you got me. To be more accurate, the greatest predictor of being unvaccinated is being black, Hispanic, or Republican. And it looks like most of the people dying of covid today are black, Hispanic, or Republican. I think that pretty much covers all the hot spots around the country.
1
@vegasmooch You choose to believe that the media is out to get you by pushing the vaccine. I choose to believe that the benefits outweigh the risks (millions of Americans have been hospitalized from covid, hospitalizations from the vaccine are negligible at most). I just find it shocking that you say you got the vaccine, but at the same time you're arguing about how dangerous it supposedly is. I think you have some serious cognitive dissonance.
1
@vegasmooch I'm not trying to "pin it on Republicans." It's simply a fact that Republicans are dying from Covid at a rate higher than the rest of the population. Almost everyone who dies of covid is unvaccinated. Republicans are extremely likely to reject vaccination. As are blacks and hispanics. Basically anyone who is more likely to believe in conspiracy theories and thinks the government is out to get them. We can go back and forth trying to cherrypick what information makes us feel good. I can point out rising Republican deaths, you can point out rising minority deaths. And it all leads to the same conclusion: get vaccinated.
1
@vegasmooch Yes. Republicans! Thousands more people would be alive today if it weren't for Republican objections to public health measures because it infringed on their "freedom". They went from calling it a blue state problem, to calling it a hoax, to blaming it on China, to saying masks were useless, to saying it was no worse than the flu, to saying the vaccine was killing thousands of people, to saying you can't trust doctors. Literal oceans of misinformation. Supposedly everyone is always out to get you.
1
Tell me how many vaccinated people have ened up in the hospital or died. Then I'll show you 600,000 unvaccinated people who died.
1
@vegasmooch Wearing masks stops tiny droplets from being projected from your mouth when you talk or breath. I thought this conversation was about vaccines and stopping the virus. Why do you keep looking for some kind of Gotcha. Do you live only to troll people. I'm here for solutions, not random arguments.
1
I'm not worried. I got my shots two months ago. The only people dying nowadays are the people who always said it was no big deal. Everyone else got their shots. Vaccinated people aren't worried. Unvaccinated people aren't worried. But unvaccinated people are going to give these overworked doctors a stroke.
1
@vegasmooch You claim Democrat controlled counties in Florida are responsible responsible most covid infections. I'd like source for that. But even if that's true, what about Missouri and Arkansas? What about Alabama? What about Texas? You keep cherrypicking information. The point you keep avoiding is, only unvaccinated people are dying.
1
@vegasmooch Like I said. Cherrypicking. All you want to focus on is Florida and LA.
1
@vegasmooch Yes. Florida is ONE one of the red states surging in Covid deaths. Texas, Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi. Focusing only on Florida's demographics as a reason to not vaccinate is cherrypicking. Not to mention that it is entirely possible that all the people getting infected in these "Democrat-controlled" counties could still be 90% Republicans. No county is 100% populated by one party. The only data we have is that red states are getting pummeled. Blue states are doing fine. And it was entirely preventable.
1
@vegasmooch Masks certainly don't work as well as a vaccine.
1
@pzthree That's not true. Listen to your doctor, not something you saw on the internet.
1
And yet you probably want Trump to get credit for the vaccine.
1
@yapandasoftware What history are you talking about. How many people in all recorded history have died from taking a vaccine? That number is pretty close to zero. Maybe a few allergic reactions, but still pretty close to zero. If we had the same amount of vaccine misinformation out there 50 years ago like we do today, we'd still be living with polio and smallpox.
1
Whatever the number is, I'm pretty sure it is much lower than the 600,000 who are in their graves who did not get a vaccine. You've got to compare apples to apples.
1
@paulao7022 Got any alternatives to the vaccine since it's supposed so dangerous?
1
80% of Democrats are happy with our VP as the nominee. It seems only the Republicans are upset that it's her. Why do you care so much how we picked our nominee.
1
@pretentiousprogressive1949 The government is not censoring anything. And even if they were, you could always file a Freedom of Information Act request with one of Trump's judges. As far as corporations, you should know as a conservative that they have a right to do whatever they want. Interesting when your conspiracy theories conflict with your base pro-market political ideology. You want to have your cake and eat it too.
1
@pretentiousprogressive1949 Facebook can do whatever Facebook wants to do. There have been many more times when they did NOT censor conspiracy theories than when they did. To the major disappointment of the Biden administration. Everything anti-vax you see on Facebook is something that was NOT censored.
