  1. I think the point is that if you play your cards right, you should not be in a lower tax bracket when you retire. You should aim to maintain the same lifestyle you had before retirement. At least that's what I'm doing.

  2.  @derekbertz2832  Good point! Saving (investing) and paying off debt definitely take up a decent-sized chunk of my income. Cut those out and you could probably get by on a lot less. Still pretty hard to forecast that out in the future though since I'm only 28.
