@brickbreak841 Huh? Collectivism does not even exist on the right in the United States. Nothing on the right is about helping your fellow countrymen (except for the predictable "TAX CUTS!!"). It's all about individualism. They're always screaming about how expanding healthcare to help people live better, longer lives (without being tied to your job or ending up in deep debt) is big gu'mint taking over ....and something about SoCiALiSm that they heard on Fox News .... and somehow we will end up just like Venezuela. It's HEALTHCARE....jeez.

@King Nereus Good point. You're right have a problem. Its just I get so fed up with people's arguments that don't rely on logic....and it exercises my brain. Maybe I should learn how to code instead 🤔

@tyrantlizard1939 Given that the majority of Americans think he is racist, I think the onus is on you to prove that he is not. https://www.google.com/search?q=trump+racist&oq=trump+racist&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i65l3.2292j0j9&client=ms-android-samsung-gs-rev1&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

@tyrantlizard1939 As you know, only 55 percent of eligible voters actually voted...and only 46% those people picked Trump (vs 48% for Hillary). So only about 1/4 of American adults voted for Trump in 2016. 75% of Americans either voted for someone else or did not vote....so yes it is quite possible for Trump to win while most people thought he was racist. Not to mention people who were too young to vote (the VAST majority of the youngest and most diverse generation thinks Trump holds racist views) 2. Im not even to waste my time with your second point. Now you're just trolling https://www.google.com/search?q=trump+racist&oq=trump+racist&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i65l3.2292j0j9&client=ms-android-samsung-gs-rev1&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8

@water_is_wet_or_is_it No the Republican Party is NOT a good representation of the country. Please explain to me how in a country that is 39 percent nonwhite (4 out of 10), a party that is 10 percent nonwhite is a good representation of the country? What I would also like to know is WHY the Republican Party is such a bad representation of the country. What is it about the Republican Party that makes it ONLY attractive to white people??
1
@water_is_wet_or_is_it The census counts Hispanic people as white, which I'm sure you know. Then it asks afterward if they are Hispanic. "Non hispanic whites" make up 61 percent of the population. Hispanics by yours, mine and almost everyone else's standards are not white Americans. They make up 17 percent of the population. So again, the Republican Party is 90 percent non-Hispanic white in a country where 4 out of 10 people are non white. So I will ask again, why does the Republican Party seem to ONLY appeal to white people??? You can answer the question or try to distract by taking about the 10 percent of Republicans that are actually non-white. But then I will ask it another way: why do most non-white people seem to hate the Republican Party??
1
@shadycrants2791 That's true Republicans are anti-poor. But I also believe that Republicans envision black "welfare queens" and "black fathers who don't pay child support" when they vote. Why else would they vote consistently against their own interests?? CONSISTENTLY. Its either because they hate themselves or they are biased against black people who they think are taking advantage of the system. It has to be one or the other.
1
@shadycrants2791 I do not believe that the Democratic Party by trying to help blacks, Mexicans, and Muslims is "trying to divide us." I believe that the only people who believe that Democrats are "sewing division" are people who do not actually believe/care that minorities face more challenges than white people. Education, policing, etc. Also, Donald Trump does not have friends, ESPECIALLY black friends. He has acquaintances. And he has Ben Carson to be the token black guy. I challenge you to name even ONE black friend of Donald Trump, in the true sense of the word "friend."
1
@carlonnrivers Thats because black people are more likely to come from poorer areas with worse schools and teachers making them less prepared for college. As you know, affirmative action was created to make up for that and give people of color some upward mobilty (NOT to screw over white and Asian people). Also most people complaining about "reverse racism" are not even smart enough to get into those elite schools anyway. Also most Asians support affirmative action. So cool it. Also, no cities don't encourage rioting. In fact they specifically shut down to prevent it. Theybactually sent the national guard and set curfews. So please stop with the right wing BS conspiracy theories and lies. Common sense bro. Also, it is quite clear that Republicans hate Muslims ("travel ban"), Mexican immigrants (everyone knows Republicans want to cut legal immigration too --- Trump just cut it again today for work visas), and think that black people don't like to work hard. All that is the very DEFINITION of racism and xenophobia. Grab the dictionary and have a look. So please chill with the "Americans are Americans" talk when we know that at the dinner table Republicans spend all their time criticizing and complaining about how non-white races and the Democrats and CNN are ruining their country. Republicans feed on white grievance and nostalgia. Just look at the Confederate Flag cheered on by so many Republicans because it celebrates their....."heritage"
1
@carlonnrivers I said racism AND xenophobia. Do you not read correctly? And yes there have been surveys of Asian Americans and most support affirmative action....just like most Asian Americans are Democrats. LOOK IT UP. And yes...Republicans do talk about that kind of stuff at the dinner table. They've done numerous surveys and studies showing that one of the STRONGEST predictors of Trump support (AKA the vast majority of Republicans) is bias against people of color and feeling they need to protect their culture and "take their country back". LOOK IT UP. GOOGLE IT. The national guard was requested by THE STATES, in case you didn't know how that works. People are criticizing Trump because asked his generals to send in the military (different from the national guard) and to "dominate" the proteators. Because he could care less about George Floyd's murder. And because he tear gassed and shot rubber bullets at peaceful protestors so he could take a photo. Disgraceful. GOOGLE IT. Not a word of what I said is untrue. Based on scientific studies and objective fact. Feel free to Google it. I did. Please no more conspiracy theories. Use your keyboard for more than just arguing. Trust me. I'm smarter than you on these issues.

@NOLAgenX While I would normally agree with you, I just want to point out that the entire Eurpopean Union has open border. You get on a train and go wherever you want...no visa required. Are you telling me they are not sovereign? Are you saying France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, etc, etc are not sovereign? Of course they are sovereign. All you would need to make it work here is 1. Have the right agreements in place and 2. Get rid of bigotry against Mexicans and other people who don't speak English 3. Teach Americans how to speak more than just English.
1
@NOLAgenX Yes I realize that the EU is fragile and that they created it to increase their size and economic power. I'm not saying we need to form a union like that, but open borders is something we could implement in the US, Mexico, and Canada. Do we need to...no. But most of the people saying "Democrats want open borders" and talking about "soverignty" are trying to scare people. Fear based on bigotry or fear of other people who don't speak English. I personally see nothing wrong with a multilingual and multi ethnic society. But that's because I love exposing myself to new cultures. I lived in Costa Rica for 4 months. That obviously does not fit a conservative personality type in America.
1
Really, that's why you're a Republican? Hmm never thought about that. Because the first issue to come to every Republican's head is communism and Hitler? Now that's some BS if I ever heard it.
1
@Jamedia66 As you know, every politician partially thinks about getting votes when they vote for a policy (Trump asking China to buy soybeans so he could get reelected). What really matters though, is if it was the right thing to do. What Democrats did was THE RIGHT THING TO DO. Republicans upholding signs of their "heritage" even though Confederates were Democrats seems strange and is the WRONG THING TO DO. EVERY rich country has a social safety net. Welfare is not just for black people. Civil rights are for the social good. THE RIGHT THING TO DO. Its very sad that you feel so negatively about something so good. I guess that's your partisanship speaking. I admit that it's a good way to justify to yourself Republicans spending the last 50 years trying to screw is over though.
1
@markmiller4971 You're right. I was mistaken. But you are mistaken if you think that what Bernie Sanders was doing is in any way similar to Hitler. Or Venezuela.
1
@markmiller4971 His policies theoretically "could" lead there just like any country could "theoretically" become a failed state. However most socialist states in the 21st century are not like the Soviet Union or Venezuela....as you know. By modern Repuican standards all of Europe is a failed state because they are socialist. It's ideological fear mongering not based in the current reality.

@captaingigg1eshitz382 Please enlighten me on what I said that was mistaken or misinformed.

@Jericho11894 Meanwhile in the world of reality, black support for the Republican Party is in back in the realtm of 5-10% after initially hitting 15%. I wonder whose tweet of a man shouting "W---- Power" erased any doubt and made those people reconsider. Now while Biden shouldnt have said that, notice that the people most upset with him are white Republicans because they don't understand how he can get away with it.....Welcome to our world!! Democrats have been dealing with that for 4 years! Where Trump can pardon his friends and punish his enemies and Republicans just shrug their shoulders. Actually how do you feel about the President calling those supporters shouting W---- Power "great people"? What's your defense this time? I'll be waiting. THE REPUBLICAN PARTY APOLOGIZED FOR THE SOUTHERN STRATEGY https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_strategy%23:~:text%3DIn%25202005%252C%2520Republican%2520National%2520Committee,and%2520ignoring%2520the%2520black%2520vote.&ved=2ahUKEwj9gryiw8XqAhUDeawKHWjKDbQQFjABegQIDBAF&usg=AOvVaw3qZeYTHcScJl2MNBEJLNFx
1
@Jericho11894 Lol. You ---> "Donald Trump can't be a white supremacist because he deleted his racist tweet after public outcry." You ---> "People are only white supremacists if they wear white hoods and march with torches and hold Klan meetings out in the open." Smh. Well there's no arguing with that.
1
@Jericho11894 OH and need I remind you that Joe Biden did apologize
1
@Jericho11894 I'm okay with Biden because most black people actually agree with what he said. Like I said, you're just mad because I can forgive him just like you've been forgiving Trump for FOUR YEARS of his DAILY scandals. Trump on the other hand did NOT apologize AND YOU KNOW IT. He just deleted the tweet and claimed he "didn't hear" the man shouting W---- Power even though he was the only one in the video speaking. And you defending Trump for this is EXACTLY why black people don't vote Republican. And go on....bring up the excuse about Democrats and their "handouts". I will bring up the excuse about how Republicans do everything in their power to make it harder for black people to vote (long lines, voter ID laws, closing polling stations in black neighborhoods, purging voter rolls a month before the election)
1
@Jericho11894 Not to mention that Trump has treated Latinos and Muslims as a piñata for his political profit. Now it's Black Lives Matter and Confederate monuments when he should be focusing on the pandemic that he called a Democratic hoax. So much hate for non-white people
1
@Jericho11894 We have a sociopath with an undiagnosed learning disorder in the White House. Republican voters have become addicted to the chaos president because he hates the same people they hate.
1
@ZachRoDah And yet the Democratic Party is diverse and the Republican Party is not. How tricky and confusing racism can be. The party of white people calling Democrats racist against Black and brown people.....lol. Good luck with that argument. Rather than coming up with some complicated scheme about how Democrats are "tricking" black and brown people into voting for them, how about Republicans actually put forth an effort to win black and brown voters. How about if Republicans actually try to win the cities rather than trashing them...... 🤔
1
@ZachRoDah Republicans always calling Democrats racist. Meanwhile Republicans try to strip black and brown people of their healthcare and voting rights and pander to the wants of white supremacists. Try looking in the mirror, or at least at the party you support. Where are the black Republican elected officials? I can count them all on one hand.
