And if he creates new precedent by calling a national ‘emergency’ because he can’t get his way (especially when illegal immigration has been going down for decades - fact), I can’t wait until we eventually have a new Democratic president who can then call a national emergency to get all his or her priorities 😁

  2. 316 Projects Lol. There was no ‘deal’. Trump is basically saying “Fine I’ll open the government for 3 weeks if you negotiate with me in good faith”. Best know that he will NEVER get his wall. Democrats see it as a racist symbol and they will not have it. But they may give him some money for other types of border security.

  4. Dylan Shanen If he calls a national emergency, it means he will be waiting the rest of his term while it’s stuck in court. It’s the same as giving up on the fight. And then the next Democratic president can call a real national emergency to combat climate change and pass universal healthcare. Because that’s what you do when you can’t get your way with Congress. Yay.

  5. Chris Boken Amnesty for people who have lived here since they were 7 years old on average and are now in their 20s and 30s (Dreamers). I see absolutely no problem with amnesty for them (just like the vast majority of the country). You gonna send them to a country they don’t know and might not even speak the language, just because of their parents?? They don’t have rights of citizens even though this is the only place they’ve ever known. Imagine if it was you...if you can. How would you like to be deported after 20 years because of your parents? Would you just self-deport
