  1. They only charged him with 2 counts for taking and transmitting a single document. Max penalty of 15 years, but they will probably give him less. Versus a possible sentence hundreds of years. They certainly are going incredibly easy on him given the damage caused.

  2. The Supreme Court decided to do their own investigation without the FBI. Also, that leak wasn't technically a crime (Supreme Court relies on trust rather than classification), so no one would be arrested anyway. Also, it was Alito that leaked it.

  3. How were they supposed to know he was non-violent. He's a gun enthusist with several weapons and military training, who knows his life is about to be over.
