@jpandyaraja I agree that too much debt is bad. And the correct way to solve it would be to limit spending and possibly increase taxes when times are good....to balance the extra spending and tax cuts when times are bad. And the reason I keep harping on Trump is because he did the EXACT OPPOSITE of that. He increased spending and cut taxes when times were good. Then Covid hit and now we're screwed. On the other hand you have Bill Clinton, who saw taxes go up and spending go down when times were good (he oversaw an actual decrease in the debt). Bush reversed that and Obama had to deal with the extra debt after the Great Recession. (Not to mention Republicans threatening to crash the economy if Obama didn't lower the debt "fast enough ") And the cycle repeats itself with Trump and Biden. In short, Republicans cut taxes, disaster strikes, and then Democrats are expected to come and clean up all the mess (debt included). Meanwhile Republicans are doing their very best to sabotage Democrats' repair efforts so they can get back in power. After my rant, I'm sure you can understand my frustration with the Republican Party. Time and again they seem to ONLY focus on short-term victories, then try to shift blame when something goes wrong.

The story is soooo suspicious though. Somehow, someone randomly "forgot" to pick up Hunter Biden's laptop (of all people) at a computer repair shop owned by an avid Trump supporter. But the owner can't really remember who dropped it off because he's "legally blind.".....seriously?? (a blind computer repair guy) And the laptop just happened to have emails from Burisma on it incriminating to Joe Biden (what computer repair store searches through a customer's emails?). And then Trump's FBI just randomly came and retrieved the laptop and covered it up for over a YEAR. But not before the shop owner copied the hard drive. So then Rudy Giuliani .... (of all people), who is working with a US-designated Russian intelligence agent to find dirt on Biden .... somehow ends up with a copy of the hard drive (because, you know, he has lots of friends in the computer repair business). But instead of giving the hard drive to the New York Post so they could verify the data, he works with Steve Bannon and gives pictures of the incriminating emails to the New York Post. After Giuliani sat on this information for a YEAR. But he won't allow ANY other news outlets to look at the evidence. So much about this seems so ridiculous. It's like a manufactured October suprise.

@yehimstone5492 What are you talking about? Millions of Americans have been hospitalized with Covid over the past 2 years. Many with long term lung and heart damage. 750,000 have died. Almost all of them were unvaccinated. Also, you have got to be joking! ... "I'm 62 and I haven't been sick, so therefore it's all fake news." Really?? That's how your logic works? It's oddly humorous how many people they show in the hospital with covid pneumonia shortly after they say something like that. They show some of them at death's door still saying they are happy they didn't get vaccinated. At least they are consistent 🤷🏾♂️

@garybrown2039 A newspaper is supposed to "look into" a story before they publish it. Especially something this big. Notice not even Fox News can confirm the story. It makes the New York Post look extremely unprofessional.
2
@TRIIGGAVELLI Luckily YOU had a father who instilled a strong work ethic and taught you certain lessons. Good for you! What about the people who didn't have that? I guess they should just figure it out somehow, huh? Seems like your idea of growing up with NOTHING is not truly NOTHING. But good for you for making it out when others didn't.
2
@TRIIGGAVELLI No, I don't believe the 1% or the government should overly subsidize everyone who doesn't make it in life. But maybe just poor people ages 0 to 18. Therefore, equal OPPORTUNITY. What's wrong with that? Isn't that the American Dream in a nutshell? Must every poor child suffer just because you did?
2
@briandavis849 Musk is the opposite of a people-person, yet he thinks he knows how to run a social network. He thought running a social media company was like running a factory. Now everyone, including the former management, is giving Musk the "I told you so."
2
@briandavis849 Okay so you explained one contibuting factor to Tesla being down (2x as much as all the other tech stocks). And you ignored all the other points I made. Because there is no good response. It's the hero worship 🤮 The cult of personality
2
@ab_ab_c So you're basically admitting that Trump's plan is to win through the courts, helped by judges he appointed. Because everybody knows there is no way he can win a majority of votes. You're advocating continuous rule by the minority...and you wonder why there is unrest in the streets. It's almost like apartheid in South Africa.
2
Sparky Sparky I think millions of Trump votes were fraudulent in 2016. Instead of losing by 3 million, I think he really lost by 6 million. I think Republicans stole the 2016 election.
2
@ab_ab_c First of all, if you have read the Constitution, you will know that in US, states have full authority over how they will carry out elections. Not Donald Trump. So has has no grounds to sue them. Second, tell me something. What is wrong with sending ballots to registered voters? Do you think there are secretive groups going around stealing MILLIONS of ballots out of peoples mailboxes? Do you have ANY evidence of this or is it just another accusation.
2
Sparky Sparky I already posted my evidence in another comment, but here it is again: Should I remind you that they had to redo the election in the 2018 congressional race in North Carolina because of voter fraud. Committed by REPUBLICANS. It's almost like you're a hipocrit. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.gq.com/story/north-carolina-ninth-district-fraud/amp&ved=2ahUKEwiopJb5vYfsAhVD-6wKHdVjCyMQxbwDMAB6BAgMEAU&usg=AOvVaw3GvzDIvLyhvMxZ30hjFkWz&cf=1 https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/30/us/mccrae-dowless-indictment.amp.html&ved=2ahUKEwiopJb5vYfsAhVD-6wKHdVjCyMQxbwDMAF6BAgMEAk&usg=AOvVaw0uwe7TqmxqryzOeFHFsSy5&cf=1 https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna946831&ved=2ahUKEwiopJb5vYfsAhVD-6wKHdVjCyMQxbwDMAJ6BAgMEA0&usg=AOvVaw1tQ0uuDFnqSsM01BQbJcf7&cf=1 And yes, people were indicted.
2
@ab_ab_c So like I said. Republicans are putting ALL their hopes on Trump's judges handing him the election. Rather than actually winning more votes. HOW PATHETIC And you think there's chaos in the streets now. Let Donald Trump be handed the election again by his own judges when most people voted against him. Question: How is this any different than a dictatorship?
2
Sparky Sparky It's almost like fraud isn't a concern when it's committed by Republicans. But when when there is the "possibility" of fraud by Democrats, that's grounds to overturn an election.
2
@ab_ab_c Once again. Here you are trying tl show off your legal knowledge on how Donald Trump can ignore the will of the people.
2
Sparky Sparky So if Trump "feels" there is a problem with the election, he is free to intervene. Back in 2016 was "millions of people voted illegally in person" Now its "millions of illegal mail in ballots" Basically there is no acceptable way for people to vote if they don't support Trump. Or else Trump will have to intervene. Jeez you guys have become so extreme and radicalized.
2
Sparky Sparky You idiot. Mail in ballots work the same way as absentee ballots. They send it to your house, you vote, and you send it back in the mail. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE, the only difference is WHAT YOUR STATE DECIDES TO CALL IT
2
Why are Republicans always ao angry even when they're winning

Because the closeness of the two agents to Trump calls their truthfulness into question. From the perspective of a prosecutor, they have a reason to lie. Cassidy Hutchinson doesn't.
1
@theniteowl1972 The FBI didn't release it because it has all the signs of Russian disinformation. We've been getting warned for years that this would happen again right before the election. Facebook and Twitter put an end to it....for now.
1
@theniteowl1972 Social media companies don't have an obligation to spread Republican lies.
1
@theniteowl1972 The truth already came out during the impeachment. Multiple witnesses.... of course Republicans didn't want to hear from them. You're simply making the conscious decision not to believe them. That's your problem. You can keep being paranoid all you want. Doesn't hurt me.
1
@keylimepie1234 Yes, every president will run their campaign on improving the economy. Because they know that everyone who didn't go to school for accounting, finance, or economics will fall for that mess. Most people don't know what the Federal Reserve is, let alone what it or any other central bank even does. And most people have little interest in giving a president they already don't like the benefit of the doubt if it means they have to read a few educational articles on wikipedia.
1
@KevinStDenis1 Yes, I am saying that no president has any powers to lower inflation. 1. Covid lowered global supply. 2. The independent central bank overjuiced demand thinking that supply problems were temporary. 3. Inflation and gas prices are sky high all over the world, not just here. You can take that however you want, the educated way or the "my brain hurts, I'll just blame Biden" way.
1
@keylimepie1234 And it would be logical to assume that Biden is already doing those things, seeing as he would like to be reelected. But generally, in most countries as well, as the US, inflation is controlled by the central bank. The Central bank was purposely made to be independent from the President.
1
@Mmmmmm-nv2tp Are you saying that Biden invaded Ukraine? Cause I'm pretty sure that's not what happened
1
Maybe because people actually prefer holding the stock long term than taking a one-time cash offer. Not wanting to sell your company doesn't make you a bad person.

Yeah I'm a little horrified that Elon seems to want to turn Twitter into 4chan. When people say the want free speech in 2022, what they really mean is that they want the freedom to say bigoted stuff without consequences.
1
@vaskylark Actually Giuliani has been working for quite some time with Ukranian Andrii Derkach. And the U.S. government (Trump's government) has designated him a Russian agent. "Andrii Derkach and other Russian agents employ manipulation and deceit to attempt to influence elections in the United States and elsewhere around the world," said Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin in a statement this past September.
1
Yeah it's such a "leftist" thing to do to ask if someone condemns white supremacists. What you mean is you're upset Wallace was being a decent human being and challenged the high school bully. With your way of thinking, I'm questioning if you ever left the high school mentality yourself.
1
No need. Because no crime was committed. The purpose of the twitter files is to create a narrative that appeals to Republicans' sense of victimhood. The FBI did not force twitter to do anything they didn't want to do.

Peter James Bagwell I didn't say the computer shop owner was a Russian spy. I just said the story sounded suspicious. And the fact that only one single newspaper in the entire country has confirmed anything about this story.
1
@magicskyfairy69 Two important fact you left out: 1. the investigation into Burisma was already dormant and inactive and 2. There's no evidence that Hunter Biden was ever under investigation. Feel free to fact-check me.
1
@magicskyfairy69 Really? So now you're sourcing a random Ukrainian news outlet? Where's this evidence of Obama saying something about a reward for Biden? I read the article and it's not there. I have to admit, I admire how hard you're working to believe this Ukrane story even though US intelligence says it's false. But just like the president, you don't want to believe our own intelligence agencies when they blow up your story. I guess you think you're smarter than the experts who do this for a living, huh?
1
@magicskyfairy69 Yes. They gave him the job because of who his father was. It does look bad, but not criminal. Yes ONE lawyer was indicted for altering an email. That's it. Everything else is speculation. And you don't know if the hard drive was legit, or if it was just a hit job on Biden. It's one story in one tabloid newspaper, not backed up by any other media outlet in the country. You still seem to be trying your best to fight against the consensus of US intelligence agencies. Be a patriot! Support your country, our soldiers, and our intelligence agencies.
1
@magicskyfairy69 I didn't say a word about Russian collusion. I said one tabloid newspaper article does not prove anything when no other news outlet in the country can prove it. Best way to sink a candidate: open up an "investigation" against him to dirty him up a bit before the election. Where have I seen this before. Like I said. Be a patriot. Support our intelligence agencies and the men and women in uniform. Republicans seem to be having a major problem with that since Trump called them suckers and losers. "Everyone else is wrong. Trump is right" This is clear sign of a cult.

I'd assume so. It's just he was so wrong back in 2008 that those of us who remember are hesitant to believe him.
1
Dru Reeve The problem is that "free speech" gets out of hand on social media around elections season. First, "free speech" only applies to government regulation, not corporations. Second, people will believe what they want to believe and share it to all their friends. Whether or not it's true. Thats the problem with disinformation. And social media sites promised to crack down on it this election. So they are. No more false Hunter Biden stories.. No more demon sperm doctors lying about coronavirus. FINALLY, they are cracking down on disinformation.
1
@rynnykitty6945 Twitter has promised to censor content that could cause a danger to public health. I'm pretty sure plandemic counts as a danger to public health.
1
@rynnykitty6945 Our intelligence agencies say its disinformation. As a patriotic American I tend to believe them over ONE newspaper story that Rudy Giuliani won't let anyone else verify.
1
@rynnykitty6945 Is that seriously your only defense for spreading lies -- "But the Democrats have lied too"
1
@angrykitty2591 Why?
1
Neither does the board of most tech companies. That's what Elon didn't mention when he said that. Tesla is pretty unique in having its board own so much of the company.
