@leonardplanckiii998 Hint: a republic is still a democracy -- it just means we vote for representatives in Congress. Most democracies are republics unless the country only has a few hundred people. "Republic" doesn't mean the minority gets to rule.

@leonardplanckiii998 Hint: Us being a "constitutional republic" doesn't have anything to do with the Electoral College. "Constitutional" means we have a constitution. "Republic" means we elect representatives to govern for us. Most countries in the world are "constitutional republics". Please stop making up definitions to justify minority rule.

@leonardplanckiii998 And you keep making up definitions that don't exist. Maybe one day you'll convince somebody with no access to the internet to fact check you.

@MachiavellisThePrince Good to know. What's your point? None of those vocabulary words means minority rule. Federal: we have a national government and individual state governments, with a division of powers Representative: we elect people to represent us Democratic: majority rules Republic: we elect people to represent us Don't think I'm out of my depth. I'm just not big into making up definitions that don't exist to justify minority rule.

@leonardplanckiii998 Pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. You just thought that throwing out a few vocabulary words was going to trip me up. Hint: look the word up before assuming what it means

@leonardplanckiii998 What sources and evidence? Nice flag, too bad you only respect it when your side is winning.

@leonardplanckiii998 No one is trying to "destroy" anything. I always hear Fox News hosts saying nonsense, hyperbolic stuff like that. Everyone just has different opinions about how to improve the country. Democrats want to help everyone, often through the government. Republicans are more individualistic and want less taxes. Stop blowing things out of proportion just because there's a disagreement.
