No one would produce more than what is required, unless there is confidence that the excess goods would be in demand. There are holding costs and opportunity costs involved and when these costs are neglected or ignored, would be game over to a business. Businesses which do not have sufficient cash flow to meet it's current obligations such as payments to suppliers or utilities or operating expenses such as wages, would mean only one thing.
