There wasn't any red carpet prepared for Modi's arrival and neither was any high ranking official there to receive him in person but only a low ranking aide (I do not even know who she is). When Trump finally made his speech at his podium, he gave a 5 to 8 minute lecture/warning to India that "if you tax me, I will tax you the same way" blah blah style of speech. Modi had to stand by at the opposite side of Trump's podium for more than 8 minutes, and watch/listen quietly, attentively and helplessly by in silence and without any protest/resistance.
