I check the company that the article about Japanese anime news for western English, I follow through to their owner page to a link that claims NHN ( not NHK ) is a company but it doesn't have phone number for their company, no staff or an actual office. so far it only exists on the internet website. basically, there was no survey, the company doesn't even exist. guess the blog and animation article source is made up.
