  1. The headline is so click bait, the shooter was military officer that have access to the armory. That why he have military grade fully automatic weapon to spray down unarm Thai people. The people in Thailand also don't follow the gun violence after the USA like what the news reported. Owning gun legally in Thailand is annoying and painful process. When you want to purchase fire arm in Thailand, you need to get paper document Por 3, Por 4 and Por 12. Por 3 is to allow you to purchase the gun which can take up to 6 months paper work waiting if you don't have connection or know someone or simply you get deny to obtain even that you pass all background check. Por 4 is to register your purchase weapon but don't allow you to carry it even if you have lockbox with you because if you do, instant jail time by the police because you need Por 12 document which need to be sign by the government which takes year to get document to allow you to carry your weapon with the life time document of 1 year before you need to get another document again. The legal gun store owner also need to jump through lots of paper work to even import the gun into Kingdom of Thailand and the import weapon is limited number like 30 guns per year + give or take government exception gun for police and government official to 300 gun, the bullets that they selling also need to register bullets in number down to the last bullets count ( how many box of ammo, which type of ammo is it?). Most gun violent occur by illegal fire arm 4/5 of the time but the government choose to make owning a legal gun harder for the civilian to use it to defend themselves. The problem is that the people don't have the ability to arm themselves to protect themselves from the mafias and gangsters. Copy from America and media... please ( video game, internet and movies is number 1 go to blaming of all time )
