  1. don't the whole point of the tower with human is because it is the easiest place to climb from the bottom and other area is being monitor by phalanx defense gun platform, if anything this single gun platform can fire 4,500 rounds/minute (75 rounds/second) + with a bunch of mines field and difficulty of climb. It make the tower area to be the best option for monster in the story but if anything, I think the idea of having human in the tower is to actually act as bait so these creature climb toward this certain area on both side instead. In any case, it a fun movie.
