  1. It is sad but geopolitically it has no effect. Haiti is not a major route of commerce, they do not represent a threat like Cuba, they do not have oil or any substancial raw material valuable for the world. Humanitarian help is all they could receive but given the fact that they are an anarcho-criminal state there is no incentive to help. All we can do is wait for them to sort it out, form some government and wait to see what kind of alliances they form with either China, Russia or the US. Other than that, there isn't much that we can do. It breaks my heart but it is what it is.
