The UK programs stated that house prices increase as banks can create money to lend to meet the demand for borrowing. People should listen to programs about money and banks.

  9. I listen to medical people talking about waiting times.They note that A&E needed to move people to beds, and some people are slow going home or different care locations outside hospitals, which can cause delays getting into A&E.

The three party government changing things without evidence compared to Labour's evidence gathering and here is an example of positive results...The whole section of SH3 between Bell Block and Waitara was reduced to 80kph in 2020 after 101 crashes, seven fatalities and 14 serious injuries were reported from 2009 to 2018. The Labour government committed $82 million to safety improvements along the highway between Bell Block and Waitara, including a number of roundabouts. Since the speed limit reduction, a Fire and Emergency New Zealand report showed there had been a 56% decrease in serious crashes, while minor crahses were down 44% and non-injury crashes were down 40%. There was no change to fatality rates, with two deaths reported after the reduction.

  12. Councils have all ways built and paid for water pipes, sewerage systems, roads etc. Councils have always made separate rates for water, and swerage development. They raised loans to fund development and charged people in zone being developed a special rate on their property in the zone. So what is actually new?

  44. We have the current situation due National. During the period 1949 to 1984, National was the government for 29 years, and it chose roads over rail and public transportation. Remember National abolished the bridge toil ( in 1977 I think 47 years ago, just think how much money would have been collected and in bank for a second crossing ). Recently they stopped the regional petrol tax without introducing the congestion charges. So Auckland is short money again.
