  6. In the Eastern Courier weekly newpaper there was an article about the mayors bridge idea across the harbour near Pt. Chevalier. In tell us that in 1974 this was cross off the list as the seabed is not very solid to carry the weight of a bridge. So the Mayor is not always well researched in his thinking. So " Why was the thinking of National and ACT wrong when they passed the law?" Auckland Transport consult with the community. E.g Warkworth round abouts to solve an on going issue. But the current government has cut funding without consulting through its blanket policy on roads.

Warkworth township has been told that due to the governments land transport policy, there is no central government money for two roundabout solutions to congestion and safety at intersection. AUCKLAND TRSNSPORT have their money in place, and the new report with 8nterviews from local included lots of comments about local input and consultation with the community.
