I hope they push to pack the court regardless. Considering it’s conservatives who lose the popular vote repeatedly, the court should not be a majority conservative. In other words, the court does not reflect the make up of America.

@sunixjester I know. I also never said otherwise. It’s determined by Americans through their votes for a president and senator. And the majority of Americans choose democrats for president, therefore the court should reflect that. It currently does not reflect the political makeup of America.

@sunixjester no I never suggested replacing them, they’re appointed for life. My argument is this: 1) Democrats win the popular vote more often than conservatives, this means it’s safe to deduce that America is mostly democratic leaning. 2) currently, the Supreme Court is a majority conservative and this is not in line with the political make up of America since America is majority democrat. Therefore, I support packing the court to make the court better reflect the current political makeup of America.

@sunixjester additionally, it’s worth noting that we probably wouldn’t even be having this discussion if it wasn’t for McConnell blocking the appointment of Merrick Garland, but I feel I’ve made my argument regardless of this fact.
