Thousands of dogs and cats are snatched off the streets in China every year for human consumption. There are1,039 dog and cat meat restaurants in 52 cities across China. The Chinese have a habit for eating anything that moves.

  4.  @acuyra  It's a mixture of strays, pets and farmed dogs and cats. Dogs and cats breed very easily, so there's a ready supply of meat, for those hungry Chinese. Even then, it won't be a meat staple. Chicken, pork and beef fulfil that role. Dogs and cats will be a supplementary, luxury meal, when you're looking for something a bit different. Chinese love eating a wide variety of foods.
