  9.  M No Crybabies  "Wow. Who are u to tell anyone their faith, beliefs, or prayers are pointless & unheard/unrecognized?" Er. Maybe because it has been proven so in multiple controlled studies. In fact, it has been proven that prayer leads to more negative outcomes, if people think that their prayers have not been answered. I am aware that god-botherers hate facts, but don't take my word for it. The details of the best known experiment is the" Study of the Therapeutic Effects of Intercessory Prayer (STEP)". This is an experiment that was carried out by the Templeton Foundation on the effectiveness of intercessory prayer on patients recovering from coronary artery bypass graft surgery (e.g., to treat heart disease). Like all things Templeton, this project was created to provide scientific evidence for religious action (specifically of the Christian variety). The team, under the leadership of Harvard Medical School doctors Herbert Benson and Jeffery A. Dusek, et al., was granted a large research grant (USD $2.4M) to test the efficacy of this type of prayer. The paper can be found at: https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/52aa/c71269472b8ab7af76152be36bd0d6dd0e6f.pdf A simple summary of the findings is at: https://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/31/health/longawaited-medical-study-questions-the-power-of-prayer.html Unfortunately, the conclusion that prayer doesn't work, was against Templeton's hope that it would confirm that prayer did work. Tough Titty Templeton! Here is another interesting article, further highlighting the uselessness of prayer: Proof #2 - Statistically analyze prayer, http://godisimaginary.com/i2.htm But there is hope for the religious to find the truth and free themselves from their delusions. This comes from understanding WHY, their beliefs make NO sense. Here is a good article which helps with that process: The Arrogance of Prayer, https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/ambigamy/201305/the-arrogance-prayer ""Sky daddy" is not only belittling & insulting to believers." Sky Daddy is not my term, but it nicely sums up the simplistic nature of religious belief. As though there is some kind of omniscient, omnipotent father in the sky, watching our every move. It might make sense, if there was any proof of this, but there ain't. "it's blasphemy." Blasphemy? If you've ever read your ten commandments you can see that your alleged god is a very insure god, who constantly worries that you might want to worship somebody or something other than him/her/it. Also, your supposed god, seems to have an unhealthy interest about what adults do in the privacy of their own bedrooms. It seems that you have one sick and depraved entity, watching over their celestial version of North Korea!
