@anharmubariz7334 Hamas and Islamic Jihad operate in the West Bank and only because the Israeli army carries out raids there, Hamas has not completely seized power there as in Gaza. Any facility from which rockets are fired and where armed people operate in war becomes a legitimate target of attack. So that peaceful children would not suffer, Egypt could temporarily let them into the Sinai, but instead Egypt strengthened security so as not to let anyone in.

@naymatunc-rc6vs False – Israel does not claim Gaza and did withdraw its army and settlements in 2005, no one stopped Palestinians from coming to Gaza and settling there. Egypt does not allow Palestinians into the Sinai because it does not want Hamas terrorists in its country; they have enough headaches with the Muslim Brotherhood, they are afraid that the militants will infiltrate along with the civilians. In addition, apparently, Egyptian border guards made good money from smuggling and supplying weapons to Gaza and some seem interested in keeping Hamas there.

@naymatunc-rc6vs You don’t have the knowledge - even the UN commission in 2011 recognized the blockade as legitimate due shelling to Israel. Egypt, by the way, is also blocking Gaza. However, the standard of living in Gaza before the war was higher than in neighboring countries.
