actually it would. You can actually chart the increase in crime along with the increase in wealth inequality. As the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and crime goes up.

@officerbrettjacoby9291 Really? So you think there is no link between crime and poverty? Nice try "officer".

@alexanderperez6114 You have a point. No one has been pushed in front of a subway in Orlando. Point is my friend you are trying to paint the entire city of 20 million people based on one sad story of person being pushed in front of a subway. In a city of 20 million the odds are that such a thing would happen eventually. Does not mean it is not sad, just means it is not an indicator of crime in the city.
5
@officerbrettjacoby9291 Do you see a connection between not taxing the rich and increasing their wealth?
5
Hell try living in Florida. Things are going to hell in a hurry here as tens of thousands of poor desperate people move here in search of jobs that don't exist. We had a 25% increase in the price of rent in 1 year. If there is a vacant piece of dirt it is immediately filled with an apartment complex.

@alexanderperez6114 oh my god a person was pushed in front of a subway and died!?!?! In a city of 20 million people? What are the odds?
4
@thedissidentleftist6997 Why do people make up shit like this? NYC Economy is not even on the list of worst economies. Number one is actually Riverside California.
4
@sensualeye The modern era of graft and corruption began with Ronald Reagan when he "turned the bull loose" and tied the government to wall street.
3
@sensualeye True, but if you think about it and want to place the current GOP playbook on one person I would suggest Karl Rove. He wrote the playbook on Trump era politics.
3
@gnash.s Not sure what you are asking me. I was not replying to you.
3
@thedissidentleftist6997 Huh? What state? I thought you were talking about cities.
3
With a population of 19.8 million NYC had 486 murders in 2021. Compared to Orlando Florida with a population of 281 thousand that had 117 murders in 2021.
3
@thedissidentleftist6997 If by troll you mean point out the corruption and graft of the party then yes they do that.
3
Ah the good ole crack days. Much better than the Fentanyl days we live in now.
3
@alexanderperez6114 oops you are right. Also agree that risks should be kept to a reasonable level.

All safer than Florida
2
@officerbrettjacoby9291 What about him? You said DeBlasio was the worst Mayor in US history and I pointed out he is not even on the list.
2
well in fairness he is only against affordable housing where he lives.
1
the first-worst prize is Chicago's Mayor William H. "Big Bill" Thompson (1915-23, 1927-31),

@officerbrettjacoby9291 I'm glad to hear that. It means you understand that not taxing them increases poverty among the rest of us who have to pay their share. Since you have already admitted you understand that increased poverty increases crime we have no need to discuss this any further. Have a nice day.

Just be glad you don't live in Florida
