@moonlightfishin4113 Social Security and veterans' compensation and pensions are examples of entitlement programs. These definitions make clear that it is the eligibility criteria and binding obligation to make payments that determine whether a program is an entitlement, not its source of funding. Entitlement programs consist of government benefits that certain qualified individuals are entitled to by law, regardless of need. Now you know and knowing is half the battle.

@moonlightfishin4113 I supplied you with the names of many of the Republicans calling for cuts to social security. This is nothing new. They have wanted this for decades. What do you think they mean when they say they are going to have to cut entitlements? That is Social Security. What you are doing is no different than when they said they would never overturn Roe V Wade. It's not a lie. Suck an egg.
