So feel free to pay to send your child to a failing school while cutting funding to our nation's pride, public education.

@quik37silver Let me explain this simply to you. Our tax dollars should never go to private schools. It was never intended to be that way and will simply widen the gap between the have and have nots because only the very wealthy will be able to afford a decent education for their children. Strong public education has been the bedrock of our democracy and it's pathetic and sad that their are people who call themselves American who believe otherwise. Facts are facts and charter schools are worse than public schools because they are run for profit and do not have to adhere to the rules a public school does. Public schools do not fail midway through a school year and leave kids hanging. If you think your kid should go to school in a strip mall go for it. Just don't ask me to pay for it. I'm sorry, but you seem to be another person who prefers to live in fantasy and remain closed off to reality. Betsy DeVos does not give a damn about your kids.
