@obamas65khotdog54 without even looking into this story is it possible they were called in to help the migrants? I would imagine they needed quick help with coordination and transportation especially without knowing what was happening and how many more might be coming.

Here is the story: Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker said Friday he is deploying up to 125 National Guard members in response to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sending a group of just 50 illegal immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard. The national guardsmen will meet the immigrants at Joint Base Cape Cod on the mainland. Buses retrieved the group of Venezuelans from St. Andrews church in Edgartown on Martha’s Vineyard Friday morning, roughly 24 hours after they arrived on the island from San Antonio, Texas. Baker, a moderate Republican, said transporting the migrants to Cape Cod was necessary because “the island communities are not equipped to provide sustainable accommodation, and state officials developed a plan to deliver a comprehensive humanitarian response.”

@obamas65khotdog54 I'm not saying anything. I'm guessing. More than likely if there were 300 of them that's because since they were not expecting this they had no idea how many would be arriving. Are you saying they sent in 300 to kill the migrants? What do you think the purpose of the national guard is?

@josflorida5346 Uh. they literally took them in, housed them, provided legal aid and getting them jobs. Thats some NIMBY. You should be honest with yourselves. Your political bias is clouding your judgement. Blind loyalty to a political party has made it impossible for you to apply critical thinking and that's dangerous. It allows others to manipulate you however they wish.
