You are pro child labor? I can't imagine what it was like for you to have to work full time as a child. My father grew up on a farm and joined the Navy at 17 to get away from it. I'm older than you are and never met anyone who was forced to work at 14. I started to work in my families store when I was 9, but it was far from the same thing as these kids are going through. Could you imagine being 12 years old and having to work the night shift cleaning up blood and guts in a slaughterhouse? This is why we have laws against child labor in the first place because this is exactly what they were doing to kids at the turn of the 20th century.

@rh5776 well, I am sure you can at least accept that not everyone can give up an education to work on a farm. We need all types in this world. I am curious how you went to school when farm work requires work in the daytime? Did you work the night shift on the farm? I spend about 50 hours a week on school and studies. If I worked 40 hours a week on top of that is 90 hours. Only people I knew who did what you describe when I was a child were poor folk who had to drop out at 14 to go work on the farm because their parents were too poor to hire help. mothers

@garrettsmith4034 Of course he's lying. If you do the math you find there is not enough hours in a day to work 40 hours along with a minimum 50 hours for school and 49 hours for sleep. Leaves very little time for anything else. What kind of psychopath would want that for children?
