  4. I love these fools who keep thinking lockdown are worse than the virus. Opening everything does not work. Why? Because you can not force people to willingly get the virus. As long as people are in fear they will not continue on business as usual. They will self isolate and lockdown in such numbers that all that is happening is the pain is being drawn out. Until people feel safe things will not get better.

  5. @IJK anyway did not bother to read that long boring diatribe. I have no idea about Melbourne australia. I only know Orlando Florida. no lockdown and nothing is getting better because of the disease spreading like wildfire. Lost another of my friends to the virus yesterday and you can be sure that is depressing. If Melbourne has been in lockdown for 3 months then I understand why you think that is excessive. If the world had locked down simultaneously for 3 weeks we would all be better off. Seems to me a lack of consistency is the problem. Does no good to lockdown your city if the neighboring city is not in lockdown. Soon as your lockdown ends travellers bring the disease back.

  6. Too much emphasis on the death rate. Fact is it is a highly contagious disease that takes it's victims out of the workforce for a minimum 2 weeks. Hard to operate a business when your workforce drops out for 2 weeks at a time.

  19.  @curve5746  uh yeah ok. Anyway, a virus does not care how "brave" you consider yourself. Now take a state like Florida that depends on the spending power of senior citizens. Would they be brave or foolish to go into restaurants and movie theatres now? So unless it is your intention to force people into public places things will not get better until they feel safe.
