I'm in Florida. I have the virus. Be happy you are not in a red state we are totally screwed.

I am also in Florida. I took every precaution and still have it. I'm on day 3. We have to verify contact to get a free test otherwise it costs $600. When you check with the CDC what to do it tells you to stay home unless you can not breath or your lips are turning blue. No joke. There is a reason all the hot spots are red states.

@thomashaas5965 Thank you. The problem is even a fatality rate of 0.4% can be crippling. If the virus was allowed to spread to everyone in the country, more than 1.3 million people would die. In the meantime, with more than one in 1,000 leading to hospitalization, hospitals would be overwhelmed and there would be additional suffering. While the survival rate is likely even higher than those estimations, simple math shows that unchecked spread would kill an unacceptable number of people and create a crushing burden on health care. That doesn’t even account for long-term consequences of infection.

I'm in Florida and have the virus. The CDC is recommending that unless you are having difficulting breathing or your lips are turning blue then stay home. In order to get testing you must verify contact or the test costs $600. I'm scared to death I will keep getting worse and require hospitalization. I was crushed by the crash of 08 and fear bankruptcy from medical bills.

@LostMountainRestoration Actually other than California (for obvious reasons) Red states are doing far worse and Florida is at the top of the list for cases and deaths now.. Check this out:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qm3tMgxqwA8

@aengusmacnaughton1375 I'm learning more about this myself. Apparently, here in Florida it varies by county. In Broward county it is straight up free. In Seminole county you have to state you have been in contact with an infected person to get it free. You can't just feel ill and go get tested to see if it is covid.

@sherrylong5255 Lots of room for you in Alabama. Why would you want to live in the most popular and wealthiest state in the Union when you can live in a red state? In the fiscal year of 2019, the state of California collected a total amount of 188.24 billion U.S. dollars in tax revenue, the highest of any state.

@sherrylong5255 The economy of California is the largest in the United States, boasting a $3.2 trillion gross state product as of 2019. If California were a sovereign nation (2019), it would rank as the world's fifth largest economy, ahead of India and behind Germany.

@thankmelater1254 Didn't watch the video eh? Nope. Most cases and deaths are in Florida and Arizona now.

@thankmelater1254 New York being a major hub of commerce and tourism got hit hard at the start of the outbreak. you may want to ignore the reality of where we are now, but it does not change reality. Florida is top of the list since I live here I wish it were not so. However, I am not a Trumper who thinks he can can bend reality by wishing it so.

Many reasons yoiu can not trust the count from the United States. The only thing you can be sure of it is much worse than you think. I'm in Florida and have the virus and it's madness here. We are told not to get tested unless you can prove contact otherwise the test is $600. CDC is telling us that unless you are unable to breath or your lips are turning blue to stay home.
1
@thankmelater1254 No. It's free if you can show contact with an infected person. Been there done that. Easy enough to get around it by lying though. Sad part you have to lie. Should be free and readily available as it is in other countries.

@annoyedaussie3942 Thank you. I think I will be fine. So far the worst part is the pain and not being able to sleep because of it. The chills and fever are worse at night for some reason.
1
@thankmelater1254 Sorry, I see the confusion. What you see is for Broward county. I don't live in Broward county.

@annoyedaussie3942 Thank you. No I'm not having chest pain. It's still early so fingers crossed. I did not expect the muscle pain to be like this. It's not the kind of muscle cramps you get from the flu. The only way I can describe it is if you have ever pulled a hamstring. It's that kind of pain, but in your neck, spine, lower back and legs. It's impossible to lie down because it hurts like hell so I have to try and sleep sitting up. When sitting up it's not so bad, but as soon as I lie prone or make the mistake of rolling onto my side it hurts like hell.
