So now we know how women have felt? We do realize virtually every movie in the past made women look stupid and weak?

@Scaley_Reptile Doesn't hurt me at all I'm not that sensitive. I just find it funny that people get pissed off at the idea of strong female characters and see that as a threat to their masculinity. I am secure in my masculinity so I don't care. A movie is either good or it sucks. I am not motivated by the thought of whether or not the female character is tough or not.

@NecroAsphyxia So movies did not exist until the 80's? Interesting. But I guess you are right. The expression of damsels in distress has no meaning in movies. Take a story of a baby raised in the Jungle by apes and insert a woman from the city and suddenly she is the dumb one who needs rescued by the ape man.

@brianmcgarry1632 Damn you are sensitive. How about every film with Marilyn Monroe?

@NemoEtNihil I'm not sure what the controversy is. Why is it strange to point out virtually every action movie for starters was about a strong male character rescuing the helpless female from Nazis, robots, Killer clowns, mongol hordes etc.

@NecroAsphyxia Oh and by the way 80's slasher movies were some of the rare instances where there were strong women characters. Jamie Lee Curtis did not need a man to save her.

@NecroAsphyxia Not in the black and white films. No idea about modern Tarzan movies. Never seen them.
