Comments by "hizzle mobizzle" (@hizzlemobizzle) on "'The Five' slam new 'green energy' plans as wind turbines fail in Texas" video.
They use wind turbines in Antarctica and in the farthest northern reaches of Canada. Sub zero temperatures are not a problem for properly equipped turbines.

@AJStarhiker Windmills exist all over the world. I guess you can make the point that Texas is too corrupt, cheap and stupid to do it right. I am aware that there are issues with wind turbines, but that is related to life expectancy and new designs are addressing that. Texas did not build the turbines to survive extreme cold because they did not expect storms like this. Why did they not expect them? Because they elect climate change deniers to office.

Escaped Away No you don't. Why say that? Only town in Texas meets that criteria is Georgetown and it is 100% renewable not 100% wind. 2. Rates did not go up. Rates did not go down in relation to the cost of fossil fuels. At the time it was implemented it comparable to fossil fuels. Take your clean air, water and quit bitching. If you hate it that much move.

Escaped Away How ironic. During a massive unprecedented storm you want to claim climate change is not real. Sad.

Escaped Away Well you are from Texas alright. Anyway Coleman Texas gets power through a cooperative. The primary source of your power is coal.

Escaped Away Hmm did you not write " But with "global warming" why would TX need Antarctica equipment?"? air quoting global warming implies you don't believe it.

@AJStarhiker yeah , sure, whatever you say. Energy storage does not exist and backup generators are not a thing. Got it.
1
Escaped Away Are you being facetious?
1
@AJStarhiker Ok you have convinced me. Let's abandon all hope. Why even bother to try. The new American spirit.

@AJStarhiker Don't worry nothing is being torn down. Fossil fuel generators are available to deal with potential failures or down time. Problem in Texas has nothing to do with the wind turbines. Problem is greed and lack of planning on the part of the power companies.
