It is a common argument by NRA types that everyone should have guns in case the government turns on us and we can fight back. My point is that this is ridiculous because if such a thing happened we could not defend ourselves against tanks, planes and bombs. Where some think such a thing is possible I say it's not possible. I don't think the military would fire on American citizens. Cops yes, military no.

  8.  @chavvy9074  The truth is that a segment of our population is under the mistaken idea that another segment is trying to overturn the 2nd amendment and take their guns. That has never been the case. It's just propaganda employed by the elite class to stop people from thinking about the real issues we face that we have in common. We all want to defend ourselves. We all want health care. We all want education for our children. These are the things we should be discussing in a rational manner. We should not be arguing that some fictional neo(insert faction here) is trying to take away our guns. The elites in both parties want us fighting. They do not want the working class calmly discussing how to implement policies that we all agree on.

  10.  @satuurn5245  That is a good question. I heard a reporter asking Trump fans how they felt about dictators and are they concerned about Trump Behaving like one. One lady said "I don't like dictators, but if we had one I would want it to be Donald Trump". So I guess you can have all the guns in the world and still get a dictatorship.
